* Ange continues to be obstinate even as they're being evacuated until Hilda tells her to shut up and get in the skyhook's trailer.

* Rio appears as he throws a flashbang to stun them; he throws a knife to Schwartz's arm to drop his gun and shoots two officers in the throat to save Hilda. He even threatened Schwartz to forget what he saw as an act of mercy.
* Hilda points a gun at Rio as she insists on going to the Misurugi and saving Ange, but Rio refuses as his mission is to protect her. Even though Hilda is willing to kill him, Rio is [[NotAfraidToDie not afraid to die in anything she throws at him as he shows no fear]].
* When Dark appears, Rio challenges Dark to protect Hilda as his mission to save her. As he faces Dark, he blocks and dodges every attack that Rio throws at him, even knocking his short blade off. Rio holds his own while using mana to enhance his physical but is limited, while Dark has unlimited mana energy, which makes him dangerously tough when used. Dark is about to kill Rio until Hilda saves him and is distracted as Rio finishes him off.

** Ange is shutting up everyone in the vicinity by singing her mother's favorite song all the way to the gallows. After her escape, Ange calls out her siblings and human's foul beasts and throws a shuriken at Julio's face.
** Tusk appears with a skyhook, throwing shuriken at the rope, and frees and saves Ange.
** Rio and Hilda jump the crowd on his Landrunner and arrive at their position, Rio shields Hilda with his Mana while she provides cover fire for Ange. As Rio is about to escape, he gives [[FlippingTheBird the finger at a worldwide broadcast to every mana community, including Julio himself]].

** [[ColdSniper Vulture]] provides cover fire on his comrade in his sniping position.
** [[MadScientist Spider]] hacks into the security guard's mana monitor vehicle for distraction.
** Rhino uses his mana to cloak himself and [[smash a couple of security cars]].
** Kamaitachi displays his [[SliceAndDiceSwordsmanship swordsman skill to the guards as he slices and dices them while using mana]].
** Kat [[GunsAkimbo punches and shoots at every guard while breaking their mana]]. She spoke to Ange's former classmates and [[BringMyBrownPants made her wet herself]].

* Hilda tells Ange to shut up and get in the skyhook.

* Hilda throws a mug at Rio, but he dodges it after explaining the current situation and reading her file. Rio threatened Hilda by attacking her if she didn't let him check her injuries.
* Dark appears in the investigation site, corrects Schwartz on what happened, and tells about rouge human involvement.

* Rio manages to escape the cabin from the police, and [[StuffBlowingUp sets explosions for them and the cabin]].

* Hilda attempts to run off and save Ange, only for Rio to hold her back. When an attempt at seducing him doesn't work, Hilda [[GroinAttack drives her knee into his crotch]] before knocking him out with a fireplace poker.
