He essentially gave him a {{Shoryuken}} (Wrestling/KofiKingston tweeted as much after the match).

* '''WWE Backlash 2021:''' Cesaro vs Roman Reigns is a masterpiece of selling with both wrestlers giving it their all. And when Reigns has Cesaro in the Guillotine submission hold, Cesaro pulls a Stone Cold Steve Austin and ''refuses'' to tap out. And when the match ends, Cesaro ''instantly wakes up'' as if being choked was him falling asleep.
* Showing up in Wrestling/AllEliteWrestling in 2022 at the '''''Forbidden Door''''' PPV, hand-picked by Wrestling/BryanDanielson as his replacement in his hotly-anticipated match against fellow master technician Wrestling/ZackSabreJr, and now the latest member of the Blackpool Combat Club. Danielson had promised the fans that, even if they weren't going to get the long-awaited dream match between himself and ZSJ just yet, his replacement would absolutely not disappoint, and disappoint Claudio Castagnoli certainly did not!
* It was only his second match in AEW and Claudio was already involved in a ''Blood and Guts'' match. Starting as the first entry for his team, Claudio went through 45 minutes of sheer brutality, including going toe-to-toe with his former Real American teammate Jack Hager. As the fight shifted to the top of the cage, Claudio managed to save Eddie Kingston from tapping out to the Walls of Jericho before putting the Wizard on his trademark swing at nearly twenty feet high. At the end, both Castagnoli and Kingston put Matt Menard and Jericho into a Sharpshooter and Stretch Plum respectively but it was Menard who tapped out first, giving the Blackpool Combat Club the victory.

* In the main event of ''Final Battle 2022'', Claudio went in against Chris Jericho, the man who had ended his first ROH World Championship reign with a low blow, for his last chance to win his title back. If he lost, he'd be forced to leave the BCC and join the JAS instead. At the climax of the match, after kicking out of a baseball bat shot from Jericho, Claudio got his opponent up into his trademark Giant Swing... and swung and swung ''and swung!'' After a mind-blowing ''thirty-plus'' rotations with no sign of slowing down, Jericho (who infamously hates taking the Giant Swing) couldn't take any more and tapped out against the mat in mid-air, making Claudio Ring of Honor World Champion for the second time in his career.

* Having learned from some of the flaws of the first ''Blood and Guts'', this year's titular match between The Jericho Appreciation Society and The Blackpool Combat Club (with Eddie Kingston and Proud and Powerful) was far more enticing (thanks to an arena filled with a Detroit audience), [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhVA_6mKOtE but no less brutal than before]]. With multiple weapons ranging from steel chairs to a barbed-wire baseball bat to broken glass to thumbtacks and wooden skewers, the two 6-man teams in the dual-ring sized steel cage destroy one another, cutting each other up quickly. As Chris scales the cage, Eddie pulls his SlasherSmile, knowing how stupid The Influencer is for trying to escape to the top of the structure. Although Sammy Guevara comes to help Jericho, Eddie deals a low-blow to The Spanish God and sends him flying down crashing into the timekeeper's table. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzlVsFLSXIE While Claudio Castagnoli comes to help Eddie]] by pushing Jericho away from locking in The Walls of Jericho onto Kingston, giving Jericho his giant swing maneuver, Matt Menard wasn't far behind and tries dealing a piledriver onto Claudio, but he reverses it into a Sharpshooter on Menard as The Mad King uses the "Stretch Plum" on Jericho, the same submission technique he had Chris tap out in their ''AEW Revolution 2022'' match. However, it's Menard who taps out first, giving The Blackpool Combat Club and their allies the win. Post-match, Eddie is visibly frustrated and upset that Claudio robbed him of the victory as the commentators note that Kingston wanted Jericho to tap out in order to humiliate him.

* Claudio Castagnoli had long been considered one of the most underrated and underused wrestlers of all time, and going into ''Death Before Dishonor 2022'' against Wrestling/RingOfHonor World Champion Jonathan Gresham the story was focused on how, in his more than 2 decade career he'd ''never'' won any leading promotion's World Championship before. Yet on this night, opening the card against one of the most skilled technical workers in the world, Castagnoli did just that, pinning Gresham with the Ricola Bomb and finally claiming the same championship that had eluded him in 2007 and 2008, becoming Ring of Honor World Champion.

* December 12, 2016: Sheamus and Cesaro are competing for the tag titles in one last chance to stop the New Day becoming the longest reigning tag team in history. Cesaro gets the hot tag, [[https://youtu.be/6uibwNP19sk?t=1m39s and proceeds to do the following sequence of incredible moves:]]
** A springboard European uppercut to Karl Anderson, knocking Anderson into the ropes.
** A [[Wrestling/ReyMysterioJr 619]] (dubbed the Swiss-19 by the commentators) on Anderson.
** A leap off the apron taking down Big E.
** Hitting the ground running and knocking Kofi Kingston over the barricade with another European uppercut.
** A hard left turn and a jumping double stomp on Luke Gallows, who's lying on the floor.
** And finally, he jumps back on the turnbuckle and hits a flying crossbody from the top rope to Anderson.
** The kicker? All this happened in less than '''thirty seconds'''.

And by the end, he had put on ''such'' an impressive performance that the rest of the talent gave him a standing ovation when he got backstage.

[[TeethFlying The impact pushed his two front teeth]] ''[[{{Squick}} up into his gums]]'' and caused him to bleed from the mouth for the rest of the match. Yes, ''the rest of the match'' -- meaning that Cesaro ''actually continued to perform after getting injured,'' all the way up to the match's scripted conclusion. At several points, he even played up his injury to the camera crew. And by the end, he had put on ''such'' an impressive performance that the rest of the talent gave him a standing ovation when he got backstage.

* ''Roadblock, End of the Line'': Cesaro and Sheamus finally end the New Day's record setting title reign at 483 days to become the new RAW Tag Team champions. As to how they did it: Cesaro fakes getting tagged by Sheamus causing Kofi to mistake him for the legal man and hits Cesaro with Trouble in Paradise, which in turn leaves Kofi open for Sheamus to score the pin.

* His match with {{Wrestling/Sheamus}} at ''Clash of Champions'' 2016 was the single best match on the entire card that night, with both men hitting each other with everything they had in their arsenal to the point where the two had completely exhausted one another -- ''and yet still wanted to keep going''. Before the match, fans just wanted it over, as it was the final match in a best-of-seven series. By the end, when medical staff was forcibly separating the two men, the fans were chanting to ''let them resume fighting''.

** A leap off the apron taking down Big E.
** Hitting the ground running and knocking Kofi Kingston over the barricade with another European uppercut.
** A hard left turn and a jumping double stomp on Luke Gallows, who's lying on the floor.
