*** ''Three Hopes'' lends some credence to this, and the third option above: [[spoiler:in ''Azure Gleam'', Dimitri ''doesn't'' kill Edelgard, and the war with the Empire continues for a while as a result. It's likely that Edelgard realized the Empire will refuse to give up as long as she's alive]], but as she remains silent during the scene, there's still some room for interpretation.

* On that track, what are Rodrigue's thoughts on Glenn's death? Is he proud that his son followed the values that was taught to him by Faerghus by protecting someone from the royal family or is he a grieving father who wants to believe that his son's death wasn't in vain as a coping mechanism?

** On one hand, his responses after fighting Lonato and Miklan indicate he views the Crest system as having its upsides and that removing it might cause as many problems as it solves, and that some of the noble families play a role in keeping the Kingdom's boarders safe. He also acknowledges the Church's role in legitimizing Faerghus' rulers, and the Azure Moon path ends with [[spoiler: Byleth becoming the new Archbishop and is the only path where the Church still exists in its close to original form]]. At the same time, it's the remaining faculty who are concerned with rescuing Rhea post-timeskip, with Dimitri himself rarely mentioning her, her rescue is left as a footnote in his ending and after Dimitri [[TookALevelInKindness eases up on his revenge mindset]] [[spoiler: he sympathizes with Edelgard's planned reforms but takes issue with the amount of bloodshed she's willing to use to achieve them]]. Several of his supports and endings also note that he wants to reform Fódlan in his own way, with Dimitri's unpaired ending implying he establishes something close to democracy ("He was known for listening intently to the voices of all, and for instituting a new form of government in which the people were free to be active participants").

I'm uncertain if this is all there is to the Rodrigue argument. If there is more, add to it, and if it's wrong, remove it.

I respect shipping the two, but this feels like Rainbow Lens instead of ACI. Ingrid doesn't seem to swing that way at all, and there isn't any evidence to suggest she is hiding her sexuality like the entry says. It is kinda like the one entry a while ago that tried to argue Lorenz was a closeted gay man; it's cool if you interpret it that way, hence Rainbow Lens, but not really fitting for ACI.

** Earlier, the Flame Emperor proposes [[EnemyMine an alliance]] to hunt down [[spoiler: Solon]] after the latter unleashes a bout of InfectiousInsanity on Remire. If Byleth accepts, they accuse them of lying, saying that they can sense [[TranquilFury their rage]] at them over the incident, despite them [[NotMeThisTime denying their knowledge of it]]. Is Byleth ''really'' lying, or is the Flame Emperor simply making hasty assumptions? After all, Byleth just witnessed a horrible atrocity, so it's unlikely that they ''wouldn't'' be enraged, but was it directed at the Flame Emperor ''and'' [[spoiler: Solon]] or just the latter, with the Flame Emperor misreading the situation? After all, you have the option to affirm your belief that it's a good idea later to your house leader despite them also having little reason to trust them, and if you actually join them after discovering their true identity, [[spoiler: [[DidntSeeThatComing Edelgard is utterly stunned]], having been operating under the assumption that their friends would inevitably betray them once they found out]], and it's possible this clouded their judgement on the matter.
* Does Ingrid strongly rebuff [[GayOption Dorothea's]] advances not just once but ''twice'' and does not have ''any'' paired endings with a female character (not even [[HeterosexualLifePartners platonic]] ones) because she is [[IncompatibleOrientation straight]]? Or is it because she is [[ClosetGay deeply closeted]] and ignores/suppresses her feelings due to believing that she has a duty to get married to alleviate her [[ImpoverishedPatrician family's financial woes]] and continue the Galatea bloodline?
