- The Hungarians themselves weren't there at the time.
- Hungarians as a people descending from the Huns has no more basis than the same claim about any present Central-European nation doing so. Hungarian tribes mostly arrived to the Carpathian basin around 900, but there are some theories that there may have been contact between the Huns and Hungarians before. However there are no solid sources in this regard, only some old legends.
