Shire Nomad: I'm trying to figure out the dividing between this one and Jackie Robinson Story. I think it's just the mood: in the Jackie case, she'll face constant mockery and clear resistance from most sides, while in this case it's no worse than being called a tomboy every so often.
Kilyle: Ugh, do I hate this trope. Hate it so much. So much that I wince whenever a new version comes up on movie trailers. Can't they just get past the idea that generally, girls can do okay on a sports team, and stop beating this old dead horse? (The boys who tell the girl she can't do it need to get more Genre Savvy in the first place.)
The Wonder Pigeon: Is it neccessary for this page to use the line: "Sometimes, the girl or her team doesn't quite pull off a win, but the girl has still proven herself anyway" repeatedly on this page?
