Nornagest: To be fair to the Congolese rebels, the federal forces they were fighting against have also been believably accused of killing and eating native pygmies (to steal their magical powers; I Am Not Making This Up). The Second Congo War was just incredibly nasty all around.
Dalek Kan Noladti: Personally I think that there may be little reason for a Real Life section here, as for any revolution or "resistance force" you can find someone significant in world politics willing to rationalize everything they do. A Real Life section is therefore bait for edit wars.
