Prfnoff: Isn't this example more a case of The Virus than The Corruption? I'm removing it for the moment. (Later) Since nobody else said anything, moved the Pirates Of Dark Water example to The Virus.
Blizzard Entertainment (Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft) is in love with The Corruption.
fleb: Repeating what I said in the YKTTW (which didn't even last a day): Not seeing what differentiates this from The Virus. It would be a pretty boring The Virus if it didn't make you stronger and more evil.
