Does Noein count? It mostly fits, except (1) it's more than two warriors, and (2) the villains are trying to capture the MacGuffin Girl rather than change history. —Document N

Shay Guy: The Animorphs example needs fixing. The world Visser Four created with their interference was not the one seen at the beginning, and I don't believe slaves were involved in alt!WWII — and they didn't even know who the good guys were. The debate over changing the past one more time was after they went to prevent Berryman's parents meeting, and Tobias had doubts — he wanted to at least look at what the world was like in their own time. The end result was happenstance making the choice for them — Berryman's mother passed by them and was distracted by the groovy-looking Time Matrix, thus never meeting his father.
