Working Title: Power Stable: From YKTTW

HeartBurn Kid: Changing the nWo thing back. Kevin Nash was never really shown as Hollywood Hogan's protege (though he pretty much was second in command); indeed, Hogan was always too egotistical to even have a protege.

RAF: I have to disagree with you Nash was much more then just an enforcer, by the time the NWO started he was already a former world champion and unlike Hogan he was actualy a booker. From what I remember he was more of A co-champ then a co-enforcer and set himself up as the The Heir Apparent. Granted Nash was a horable booker, after all the whole Finger Poke of Doom was his way of geting Hogan to come back after he screwed him.

HeartBurn Kid: The Enforcer isn't a low-level position; as is mentioned in the article, it's the "field general", the guy who calls the shots and keeps the stable's eyes on the prize. This has always suited what Nash and Hall both did more than the heir apparent (let's face it, in the nWo, did you ever see Nash as the "next-generation" guy?). An heir apparent is more like Randy Orton was in Evolution, where he's constantly talked about as "the future of the business", and it's mentioned that it's his "destiny" to succeed the champion. Nash never had any of that. Indeed, Hulk Hogan always felt that the "future of the business" was... Hulk Hogan. Nash was really portrayed more in line with the Enforcer role; he was Hogan's friend, ran interference for him, made sure he was always on top no matter what, constantly worked to grow the nWo's power base, etc. In fact, he fits that role much more than Scott Hall does (Hall could easily slip down into the Muscle role if The Giant wasn't a so much more obvious example).

As for Nash being a booker, this trope refers purely to what happens on-screen; backstage has nothing to do with it.

Bring The Noise: And Nash wasn't a booker until 3 years after the nWo was formed. Anyhoo, my actual point: Should we incorporate non-World Title holding stables that fit the pattern here, or make them a separate trope? For example, The Nation of Domination (with Farooq and The Rock) fits this, but never held the WWF Title.

Champion: Farooq Heir: The Rock Enforcer: Kama Mustafa Muscle: Mark Henry Hanger-On: D'Lo Brown

RAF: good idea bringthenoise about aditional stables but just to corect you Nash was on the booking team from day one in wcw he just was not running it untile three years later. To answar your question hartburn, yes I did see Nash as being the next generation, it might have somthing to do with me being more a wwf fan then wcw fan back then and him being a former world champion already. To tell you the truth I think Nash was more of what you called the champ then Hogan eventhough Hulk held the belt.

Several other stables listed did not have an heir aparent as you discribed it, Bret had proven 3 years earlyer that he had no planes on giving the tital to his more talented and charismatice younger brother, and there no way Flair thought that Tully Blanchard could fill this shews. Speeking of the original horse men Arn was more of what you discribed as The Muscle and Ole was more the enforcer, eventhough I assume you took that name from Arn
