Cynthia Wakefield: Terrific trope name — "Louis Cypher," as in, Lou-in-code. (Posting this here to warn against anyone reflexively changing the trope name to Louis Cyphre because they didn't get the joke.)
Romanticide: If you ever meet a LucĂa Fernanda... run... just run.
Took this out:
- The Big Bad of Casino Royale is called Le Chiffre (The Number). The love interest is called Vesper, after a Roman god. The brilliant bit? This troper just found out that the mythological bases for Lucifer and Vesper were brothers (The morning and evening stars) in Greek Mythology. I do so love a good Wiki Walk...
Doesn't really make sense in regards to this trope. And Vesper Lynd's name isn't a reference to Hesperus, it's a pun on "West Berlin."
