Unwanted/Wanted Pregnancy launched as Law of Inverse Fertility: From YKTTW

Working Title: Unwanted/Wanted Pregnancy: From YKTTW

Idle Dandy: I'd like to strike the word "ridiculous" from Phoebe's pregnancy. I thought her being a surrogate for her brother was a brilliant way to write in the pregnancy without getting the show saddled with a baby.

Zach: What about those stories where someone who doesn't want kids has to take care of the kids of the recently deceased. Does that fit into this trope?

Chocolate Pot: "Although in these cases, it may be because in the cultures, women might marry before they were fertile." I'm removing because it just isn't true. True, lots of royal marriages involved kings marrying their sons to ten-year-old girls, but the poor (who came up with the fairy tales) were getting married at more reasonable ages.

Aqueus: Do [[This Troper]] stories count for real life examples? My then-girlfriend got pregnant the second time we had sex, while she was on birth control and I had used a condom. We are all still living happily ever after, but being in college at the time, having children was very definitely at the bottom of our list of things to do. As an aside, we kept the child, whom we love very much.
