Working Title: Intelligent Gerbil: From YKTTW
Trouser Wearing Barbarian: Launched the YKTTW (which Unknown 252520 Troper forgot to do) and fixed the page up a bit. If anyone sees any examples that are just "the alien looks a little bit like this animal" instead of this trope, go ahead and remove them. I'm not familiar with all of the works listed.
Mysticpenguin: Here's one I'm a bit split on: the Sholan from Lisanne Norman's "Sholan Alliance" sci-fi/romance novels. They look like big cats, but they act, think, and apparently mate exactly like people. The If it weren't for the description, I wouldn't have even known they weren't Human Aliens. I'm not quite sure where to put them, though. Do they fit here since they're another bipedal cat race, or are they Rubber-Forehead Aliens since the only other feline thing about them is the frequency and lack of shame with which they go at it?
