Suggested variation on the "can't buy property until you go around the board" rule: no one can buy property until *any one* player has gone around the board first. It leaves more up to chance compared to regular play, but it's more fair — the first player doesn't get a huge advantage, but you're not screwed if you make your first trip around the board slower than everyone else.
