Working Title: Fun With Subtitles: From YKTTW
YnK: The intro for this article is hilarious. (I hope you people have some easy ways of inserting these letters, because I can't imagine myself, a poor Windows XP user, sitting here and writing this stuff using the character map...)
alliterator: Thanks. I just basically copy-and-pasted them from Page Templates, but boy, was it time consuming.
CodeMan38: Heh, this sort of thing is why I love the Option key on my Mac and the US-International keyboard layout set up on Windows and Linux. Êxtrànéõüs äççént mårks cân bë fûn!
Fast Eddie: this one ...
- Ling-Ling in Drawn Together. Just...Ling-Ling in Drawn Together.
...probably means something to a person familiar with the show. With some additional text, it might mean something to everyone else.
alliterator: I added a bit more explanation.
Rissa: Cut the Colbert Report example. The Word's not really subtitles, it's Footnote Fever, parodying the O'Reilly Factor's "Talking Points Memo" (which is the exact same thing, except less sarcastic).
Leaper: Gah, I can't remember... Was it Top Secret or Loaded Weapon 1 that had mooks literally tripping over their own subtitles? I wanted to add that example, but I can't remember which it is, and Googling is of little help. :P
