Mister Six: I thought Vivi was the Blue Mage in Final Fantasy IX, not Quinna?

seth: A blue mage is a character who uses monster abilities (Quinna, learned by eating the monsters who possess those abilities), a black mage (Ala vivi) is a character who uses offensive magic. Square use these definitions consistently, there are also white mages who use healing magic and grey mages/time mages in some games who use support magic. Then you have summoners, spell swords ect ect.

But yeah, Quinna was Blue, Vivi was Black.

Ninjacrat: Pulled:

  • In Knights of the Old Republic II, it is possible to train several of the party members to become Jedi (despite them being adults, when most Star Wars background suggests it takes a lot of training to make a Jedi...).
    • Well, that's because the Jedi Exile is a gaping, painful wound in the Force, surrounded by a swirling maelstrom of broken and twisted and therefore malleable destinies, who therefore has an uncanny ability to gain strength from the deaths of her enemies and mold her friends to her will. The Kot OR games are actually very good about explaining game mechanics within the story.
because it doesn't seem to be an example. If turning a character jedi is actually the kind of elite trick only an expert would know, put it back.
