Scrounge: Someohow, I think the inherent creepiness of the dummy is the reason we don't see a lot of ventriloquist acts. Worth noting is the ventriloquist making the rounds on America's Got Talent in the 20007 season, Terry Fator, because he ditched the dummy in favor of muppet-esque hand puppets. Good call, Terry. LATER: By the way, he won.

I think we should make it a little clearer that this page doesn't just apply to dummies, but it's open to all forms of creepy puppets. Anyone who remembers the sock puppet from Digimon Tamers will understand why.


Arivne: I've moved the "Talking Tina", Johnny Bravo, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and "Mr. Bear the teddy bear" examples over to Living Toys because none of them was a ventriloquist's dummy or puppet. I've deleted Chucky for the same reason and because he's already on Living Toys.
