Airbud: I'm guessing this trope doesn't apply to actual time travel, or to simulations like Star Trek's holodeck?
Rosybloom: EVIL LINCOLN! Ahem, sorry. No, I think the holodeck counts because the principle and intention is the same: get your characters in period costumes. But I'm ambivalent about whether the Mob Planet and Old West Planet from the original Star Trek should be there. What do you think?
