Red Shoe: The description doesn't make it quite clear to me whether this is just the series-specific version of Mix-and-match, or, as I've heard, the specific pairing of the supernatural (as in The X Files) with "Generation Y".

Gus: It is funny, that the example of Supernatural fits both cases. I'll change the example to one more clearly supporting the series-specific case.
Grev: I'm not gonna put it out if no one else agrees, but does it seem to anyone else that Greys Anatomy is "My So Called Life meets ER? I've come to call it "My So-Called Hospital" myself...
benteen: I don't know if it deserves footnoting here, but back when Gene Roddenberry originally hawked Star Trek to the networks as "Wagon Train to the Stars" he was pitching it as an "X Meets Y" premise. Doesn't anyone remember that there was a Western titled Wagon Train which ran from 1957 to 1965 (see the IMDB entry)? No doubt that series was still fresh in Roddenberry's mind when he was pitching Star Trek.

  • Concerning Bone, the resemblance of the main character to Pogo is much more obvious than Calvin And Hobbes

Freezer: I've seen this deleted twice, both times without explanation.

Afro Samurai is Samurai Champloo meets The Boondocks.

Someone want to explain how this doesn't fit? Wrong section? You don't agree with the analogy? WHAT?
