Wulf: I've seen a bunch of mentions of Afro's father's name being Rokutaro, but in the director's cuts of both the first movie and Resurrection, as well as the manga I didn't see anyone call him by this name. The closest to it I've seen was Brother Six, whose name is Rokuta in the manga. Is there anywhere Okazaki or a character said that Afro's Dad's name is Rokutaro, or is this just Fanon?

  • X2X: I've seen this piece of info on The Other Wiki too, but I personally can't verify it.

Wulf: Thinking about it now, should the spoiler tags about Jinno/Kuma be removed? Resurrection treats it as "You Should Know This Already," and even the season one show website revealed it pretty off-handedly. Add to that that even when the show was formatted as a 5-ep TV show, his true identity was revealed pretty early in the episode he was introduced.
Necromas: Where's all the tropes having to do with Afros quick decent/reveal into being heartless fucktard that got all of his nakama horribly slaughtered, except one who grew up a pawn and died because she still couldn't kill him after knowing how much of a bastard he was, and one who is basically doomed to get horribly killed again and again, only to be brought back like darth vader just so he can keep fighting Afro and never have peace, when all he did wrong was be Afros friend? And all the stuff about the ending and the anti-morale and whatnot.

Wulf: Add 'em. =) I just rewatched the series on Christmas, so I'm editing the page a bit now, but I know I'll miss some.

Air Of Mystery: Am I right in saying that this show was made in English before being dubbed into Japanese?

X2X: In regards to I See Them, Too, in the first anime, I'm pretty sure that NinjaNinja is seen in one of the Brother's (don't remember which one) binoculars. Justice himself even mocks Afro for lamenting over the "death" of his "Imaginary Friend". Anyone care to verify this? Speaking of Imaginary Friends, shouldn't there be an example on this page about how NinjaNinja's presence is a subversion of the trope?

Wulf- Yeah- In the first anime, you can see him in Brother 2's binoculars, and Justice tells Afro something like "I even chuckled as you shed that imaginary friend of yours," but, when Ninja Ninja dies, his several-minutes long death scene takes place in an instant— even the snow stops falling, and Jinno takes Afro's reply to Ninja Ninja's "you're gonna have to make twice as many moves to win" as being meant for him. In that series, it's kind of a toss-up between imaginariness and not. The reason I See Them Twoo is in the manga-only section is because he and Takimoto are treated a bit differently than in the manga- both are suprised the other can see them, and if I remember correctly, Takimoto calls implies that Ninja Ninja's the will of the universe, or something. I'll have to find my copy and check if I'm not BS-ing that part, though.
