I agree with everything except the good old Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist.

Flawed But Alright
The main problems with Pokemon-X the webcomic is that all three main characters are assholes in some shape or form and have cliche personalities. Brendan is the Idiot Hero who is good in battle and nothing else, May is the Tsundere Deadpan Snarker who abuses the hero and Wally is the wacky guy whose quirks are Played for Laughs.
You can't relate to or really like any of the characters and the writing is kind of subpar, given that half of the jokes are "Durr Brendan is stupid", "May says something snarky to Brenden" or "Wally obsesses over green stuff and gets mocked for it." or ball jokes because of Poke Balls. The story is just Pokemon Emerald, so there isn't much that the author can do to change that, but due to the pacing, battles go on for weeks.
The one thing that is consistently great about this webcomic is the art, the author puts a lot of care into making sure it looks great and the sprites and effects are well done.
Overall, it's a very flawed webcomic, but it's not horrible.
