- Unfortunate Implications:
- Issei's motivation is to become a high class devil so that he can gather a harem of female servants that he can have sex with. If one assumes that Issei doesn't care about the consent of those servants then this boils down to him wanting to become a Serial Rapist that constantly engages in Sexual Extortion of his subordinates. In practice however this doesn't line up with Issei's character; given his vicious defense of Rias's right to decide who she marries, it's more likely that he's assuming his harem would only contain girls that want to be with him.
- Ddraig and Albion present another example in and after Volume 6. Hyoudou Issei's repeated use of breast-related power-ups, combined with the fact that Ddraig is privy to all of Issei's private thoughts whether either of them likes it or not, leads Ddraig to endure great humiliation that he can do nothing to prevent. As Ddraig's equal and eternal rival, Albion also feels that his reputation will suffer because of this, especially after Odin gives him an Embarrassing Nickname to match Ddraig's. This escalates to the point where both dragons' souls develop Trigger responses of breaking down in tears whenever breasts or butts are mentioned, require specialized psychiatric counseling and antidepressant medication (the latter taken/applied by the Sacred Gear bearers), and (in Albion's case) have formed a support group for Hyoudou Issei's victims. The story makes a point of including a scene in each volume in which either or both dragons are shown to complain or cry when Issei uses his perverted powers, even if it contrasts with the mood of the rest of the scene. In summary, Ddraig and Albion are victims of repeated sexual harassment and abuse, and their situation and psychological trauma are treated by the story as a joke.
How exactly is Raynare the most popular villain in the series? She only shows up for 5 episodes to kick off the plot (and give issei trouble with bonding later). She's like Raditz in terms of plot relevance
