I'm currently archive binging this comic, and it's like every other female character is either Susie or Susan.
Is there a trope for this?
Hide / Show RepliesHere's something that's bugging me, but I don't think it's worth making an entire page about. This comic shows the symbol for the most offensive sound that can be heard, ever. Then this comic turns up, and the alien says the symbol, but the kid's not traumatised at all. It's probably just something the guy forgot about, but it's still interesting.
...y'know, or something like that. Anyway, next comment! Hide / Show RepliesCould fit under either Call-Back or Chekhov's Gun, depending on what the intent was. Alternately, it could just be a Brick Joke.
Call-Back sounds about right. SMBC isn't big on continuity.
What's precedent ever done for us?Examples need details. Please see How To Write An Example before moving this one back to Main.
We should add the link to the page explaining why Girl on Girl Is Hot. Because 1+1=2.
From the article:
- Writer on Board: Zach is a vocal atheist, and occasionally does comics mocking religion.
- He also makes fun of Atheists.. Or anyone he can think of a joke for.
Can anyone link a comic in which he makes fun of atheists? I did an archive binge recently and don't recall seeing one, but there are so many I could have just forgotten. I'm going to delete the reply for now, if it's true I'll just delete the entry.

A lot of the links are obsolete, since the site changed methods. Is there a good way to fix this?
