Regarding Annoying Arrows: given that this seems to be about game utility, would Scrappy Weapon be a better trope? I don't think the weapons are that much less effective than swords, and in my latest games, I've been intentionally delaying the expansion of the kingdom to make sure I have crossbows before I start really working my way up to equipping soldiers with better materials.

Annoying Arrows is about the lethal effects of arrows being underestimated. The example writeup is about player complaints, so yeah, it's Scrappy Weapon.
