I have a couple of angles in the world of straw that either I wasn't able to recognize in the list, or might make a good page.

overstuffed strawman: A strawman so exaggerated to be extremely obvious. This can be used on one's own position to highlight strawmen used against it. (Which makes it something of a strawman of a strawman.) Or it can be a stawman without enough finesse to be convincing.

buried in straw: A group or position that has been so heavily misrepresented that being taken seriously becomes difficult or impossible. Something of the inverse of a sacred cow.

General Ripper should be on the list as a common straw representative of the military industrial complex. Then again, maybe there should be a supertrope/subtrope in between, since even where there isn't an identifiable ripper, there can be a cast of straw.

Subjectively, there's a fine line between a Troll and someone who lives just to piss you off. Hide / Show Replies
