To be honest, I don't think that solar sails are such a widely-known technology. Also, a trope rename proposal ought to go into the Trope Repair Shop.

top one is from Doctor Who Voyage of the Damned, the other is from Douglas Adams's Starship Titanic
Minor renaming proposal: How about "Space Cruise" instead of "Space Sailing" ? Space sailing will probably evoke solar sail concepts in the heads of most people, so I'd recommend renaming the trope to something slightly less confusing. Yes, I of course understand that ships that fall under this trope don't need to look like a modern oceanliner - some might look like actual sailships from the times of Wooden Ships and Iron Men - but I think that distancing this trope's name to the largely unrelated Solar Sail trope could be better in the long run.
