What happens if the character learns sarcasm from the resident Deadpan Snarker, who is determined to teach them their native dialect of smartass?
Wasn't Oliver on Green Acres on the receiving end of this pretty much constantly? I seem to remember a lot of occasions where he'd say something sarcastic and it would inevitably fly over the heads of whoever he was talking to. Lisa, Mr. Kimball... even Mr. Drucker. And sometimes someone else would show up and the conversation would snowball into insanity, like the MLP example. Am I remembering it right?
What is the reason for the name change? I just want to know for the sake of the Renamed Tropes page.
