"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanRe-Power and Discard and Draw overlap too much with each other. I think that either they should be combined into one trope, or this trope needs to be rewritten to make the difference between them more clear, and the examples that belong on Discard and Draw be removed.
Hide / Show RepliesActually, this page has other problems that need work. The description of this trope is so confusingly written that I am not entirely sure what this trope is supposed to be about. I think it is supposed to be when a writer changes a character's powers as part of a Retool but it could be about changing a character's powers in ways that don't make sense, or it could be something else entirely. The name of the trope may need to be changed to make it more clear what it is about too. I am going to start fixing this by removing the examples that really belong on Discard and Draw but I won't mess with the trope description until it has been discussed in the Trope Repair Shop.
The "Energy-Superman" picture is mirrorred. The S in his chest emblem is inverted, making him look like an "Energy-Bizarro".
I move to change to picture. All it shows is some eye designs; the notes that actually detail the changes in powers are too minuscule to read.
Hide / Show RepliesI'm still new to this, but what is that picture? It's just abstract symbols and I have no idea what they could possibly mean, let alone what relation they have to a character being given a new power.

This trope is being discussed in the trope repair shop again. It started as a discussion on Discard and Draw but it expanded to discussing this trope too. Link here.
