OK, I know this isn't The Other Wiki, but "Spanish has more English cognates than any other language"? Citation needed. I would think that Spanish has more cognates with other romance languages than it has with English, and that English has more cognates with other Germanic languages or with French. I speak English (a Germanic language with a lot of French influence) and Swedish (a Germanic language with a lot of French influence) and it's hard to find words that don't have cognates.
Why does almost everyone wikiword the title as El Spanish O instead of El Spanisho?
Hide / Show RepliesBecause that is perceived as being the more correct title.
