We've hardened the line between SBIG and SBIH in the cleanup forums quite a bit. Both Cry Wilderness and Hobgoblins were cut for being popular MST3K movies that are considered nowhere near as awful to watch as the other MST3K movies listed.

But Dragon Ball Evolution says "Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Naturally, it did well in Asia (outside of Japan where it lost to Yatterman), going number one early on before dropping off. It should be noted that it was number one for several weeks at Asian box offices, and while the reception was mixed it is still rather popular and well-liked outside the US.

Edited by Gallibon "Still smarter than a bus driver."If you're suggesting it, why can't you give us the reasons it belongs?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. What about The Avengers (1998)? It should belong here for good reason:
- 5% on RT (four fresh reviews, seventy-eight rotten)
- 12% on Metacritic (three of those reviews are 0)
- Nominated for nine Razzies (though it only "won" Worst Remake or Sequel, which it tied for with Godzilla and Psycho)
- #1 on watchmojo.com's Top 10 Worst Movies Based on a TV Series (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rHSbUjVh1s)
- Destroyed the career of director Jeremiah Chechik, who would not direct another film for another fifteen years; it also spelled doom for Uma Thurman and Sean Connery
Yeah, it looks like it'll fit. It also has only a 3.7 rating on IMDB.
Blockbuster Buster has a good review, and he clearly has done research on the original compared to the ultimate result, meaning he's clearly Shown Their Work, while Nostalgia Critic takes the cake because he had to do this when he wanted to see a green monster, a star-clad shield and a giant hammer.
So go ahead and add it. Or maybe someone else could do it, as I haven't seen the film.
Should Basmati Blues be added? If so, give me some reasons as to why this film sucks.
Do you think we could add 2025: The World Enslaved By a Virus? Even putting aside the inflammatory premise ("COVID-19 made it so everybody is communist, nobody is allowed to meet up, and Christianity is outlawed"), it's apparently just a bad movie with bad special effects and a painfully slow plot. I learned about it from Kurtis Conner's new video but then checked to see that other people also hate it (another example review). Most reviews I'm seeing don't even consider it So Bad, It's Good, it has a 1.2 on IMDB, a 2.2 on Amazon Prime, and a 0.9 on Letterboxd (it doesn't have a RT score yet).
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. Hide / Show RepliesThat premise makes Saving Christmas look reasonable. The scores are poor enough, so if you think you can make a good enough case for its inclusion, I guess you could go for it.
The entry on The Avengers 1998 needs more explanation on why it’s horrible. Most of it is just listening the negative ratings and opinions on it
Talk is cheap on satellite but all I get is staticDoes the 2019 Black Christmas really belong on here? It's not very good, but it's nowhere near the bottom of the slasher barrel in any significant category: the acting is fine, the narrative is coherent (many slashers don't achieve that), the production values are decent. Critics' metrics for it are mediocre but not disastrous: its 39% RT score is bad, but in a field of films with RT scores in the single digits it really doesn't feel of the same kind. Notably, the 2006 Black Christmas remake has an 18% RT score. Are we sure it's not just here because people took issue with the feminist bent of the film?
Hide / Show RepliesI'm seconding this, it seems questionable. Taking this to the So Bad It's Horrible cleanup thread.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkDoes Captain America (1990) really belong here? I've seen a couple reviews and most of them say it's not outright horrible and half of them say it has camp value to it.
Hide / Show RepliesSeconded, years later: this feels like it could easily qualify for So Bad, It's Good.
I like to nominate Exorcist: The Beginning, the film has an 11% on Rotten Tomatoes, and IMDB rating of 5.2 out of 10. So, I wonder if this qualifies as SBIH?
Would the Artemis Fowl adaption on Disney Plus count? I know it just came out but it's shaping up to be one of the most poorly received films of the year.
Hide / Show RepliesIt's definitely looking that way, but we should give it a couple of weeks before we look into actually adding it just to make sure.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"Could Cats quality for this page?
Edited by troperaiser Talk is cheap on satellite but all I get is static Hide / Show RepliesI think the sheer level of So Bad, It's Good response kinda disqualifies it. From the main page: No past or present positive opinions can be found about the work, nor does it contain Guilty Pleasures or anything So Bad, It's Good.
There are parts that are unironically appreciated (Skimbleshanks' tap routine and "Memories," specifically), but the real kicker is the sheer level of So Bad, It's Good.

SP00PY month! Hide / Show RepliesBalance, Not Symmetry seems to be one to look out for. It had an interesting concept in that they soundtrack (by Biffy Clyro) was made first, with the plot and characters being inspired by it. While the soundtrack album has been very well received, early reviews of the film suggest that it's terrible. It's been said that it's pretentious and clumsily made, and that the soundtrack doesn't actually work in the context of the film, which means the it no longer has the appeal of its main gimmick. Critical reviews have ratings of one to three stars, and some viewers have described it as one of the worst films they've ever seen. It's due to be properly released on 2 August, so have a look for more reviews around then.
Edited by Maxiboy136Someone recently added Furry Vengeance, and I'm unsure if it qualifies. I mean, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic both point to it being terrible, but IMDb has some people claiming that it is So OK, It's Average. What do you guys think?
SP00PY month! Hide / Show RepliesNever mind, other films listed on here like Show Dogs, Jem and the Holograms, and even The Castle of Fu Manchu seem to have weird defenders on IMDb and ONLY IMDb. Weird. Meanwhile amazing films like The Muppets and The Lego Movie seem to have lots of people calling them the worst things they've ever seen. I think we should make it a rule now to only use the score itself and not the individual reviews, because IMDb users have... weird tastes lol.
Edited by TheAlmightyKingPrawn SP00PY month!Didn't see that you replied at first! (My phone is weird.) I think that Furry Vengeance qualifies.
SP00PY month!I was wondering if Asterix at the Olympic Games (the movie) should be included. Critics and audiences gave it very poor reviews, especially on Allocine (critics note: 1.9/5, audience note: 1.3/5, in addition of being on the site's 100 worst movies list) and Sens Critique (2.7 out of 10 from audiences only, no press reviews on this site). It also had several nominations and wons (including Worst Movie of the Year) at the Gérards du Cinéma ceremony, which is basically the same thing as the Razzie Awards.
Is F The Prom bad enough to be included yet? There's no critic consensus on RT yet, but the audience enjoyment score is a measly 15% and it has a 4.3 on IMDB, and a few bad reviews. It may be too early but in time it may gather more dislike.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. Is the 2017 remake of Flatliners bad enough for this list? It has been out for a few weeks now and it currently has a 4% rating on rotten tomatoes.
Hide / Show RepliesIt's also bombing, so I'd say yes. However, the IMDb rating is 5.0/10.
I've seen it and I'd say it doesn't qualify for this dishonor. I thought it was pretty average at worst and merely a disappointing remake as opposed to a downright failure. Compared to most horror movies here, it's not that bad. I'd say no but then again I thought Jack And Jill (that Adam Sandler movie) was better than 8 Crazy Nights so ...
You personnally liking a movie doesn't stop it from being So Bad Its Horrible. I actually love the movie The Master of Disguise but that doesn't stop it from being terrible.
Is The Cat in The Hat really that bad enough to be on here? their do exist people who find a guilty pleasure.
Hide / Show RepliesI concur. I would wait until more people agree to take action, however.
Even really horrible films have a few people that like them, otherwise they would all have 0% on rotten tomatoes. Just being a horrible film doesn't mean that nobody likes it, but there should be few enough people that like that if you met one you would be surprised.
I agree as well with the first two posts.
"Still smarter than a bus driver."Galliborn, please wait for more people to discuss this before just deleting it.
Edited by legendaryweredragonMy apologies for not knowing that (as I am fairly new here). I do think it doesn't really belong here, as many do find it to be a guilty pleasure, but yeah, I see what you mean. Also, it's "Gallibon" not "Galliborn".
Edited by Gallibon "Still smarter than a bus driver."Lots of the films on this list do have a few people who watch them as guilty pleasure. I am actually a fan of the movie The Master of Disguise ironically.
Should Birdemic 2: The Resurrection be put up here? A lot of people found the first one to be So Bad, It's Good, but not so much the sequel, which tried to be intentionally humorous and make meta jokes surrounding the first, but what made the first so charming was that director James Nguyen made it in earnest, so much of the intentional humor just falls flat. Also, it's a blatant Mission-Pack Sequel in true horror sequel fashion, except it's now set in Hollywood. We even have zombies showing up out of the blue near the end, because hey, they were popular for a while. And while B1 got a 1.8 score on IM Db, B2 got a 1.7. The Smeghead did a scathing review of it here, and he enjoyed B1. Phelous, The Cinema Snob, and Obscurus Lupa also reviewed it in two parts.
Also, Nguyen tried to get Birdemic 3 (his allegedly last film) crowdfunded first through Indiegogo and later Kickstarter, but both only managed to get a fraction of their goals, showing how much even the fans care about the series now.
Edited by mr3urious Hide / Show RepliesWould Dancin': It's On qualify? The movie had a $27,000 gross, has a 3 on IMDB, and every review I've found of it is negative.
Hide / Show RepliesI don't think I've ever heard of this movie until recently but after hearing some stuff about it, given all of the reviews and t's now 2.9 on IMDB, I think it would fit.
"Still smarter than a bus driver."
Why was Cry Wilderness removed? The edit note claimed that it may have been So Bad, It's Good, but I haven't seen many reviews of it calling it enjoyably bad (and even some works like that can still be on the Horrible pages).
