The example needs to be able to stand on its own without a link, basically.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanShould the episode-specific moments be shifted to the recap pages? They also seem to have their own CMOF pages ready to be used.
Am I misunderstanding the concept, or is the current Funny page's image a textbook example of A Face And A Caption.
Hide / Show Replies...No, not really. Just A Face And A Caption is a generic picture that doesn't communicate anything other than, "this is a character". Twi's exaggerated face and position are obviously meant to be humorous.
It is technically a face and a caption, but it is not Just A Face And A Caption.
Edited by StopMentioningYourself This has got to be like the 5,000th time I forgot my email or password...Yup. There's a difference between OhCrap.Western Animation, which works fine, and if we had this◊ for Cassandra Truth, which would be about as JAFAAC as you can get.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I just want to specify that when I first opened this discussion, the image was just a picture of Pinkie Pie's face. So don't talk down to me just because the circumstances have changed.
figured it out and fixed it, looks like a user named Ichigo Montoya has been edit warring it, according the history numerous tropers have fixed his changing it, and he keeps doing it again.
What I see in the history is that many tropers have redone the caption and Ichigo only changed Anvilicious to Anvil on Head, without even editing the displayed text.
I've added a second commented-out note about not altering the caption, however. The current version* is the one decided upon by the IP thread excepting that the Anvilicious link is to Anvil on Head. Thanks for changing it back to that.
Edited by Telcontar That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Who changed the caption? I thought someone brought up a caption like that back in the image pickin' thread and noone voted for it.
Hide / Show RepliesI was right, I looked at the thread and the page editor, and someone seems to have come along an ignored the "do not change without discussion" note and changed it anyway. I'd fix it myself, but I don't know how to edit page images.
"Tragic as it may be, it is rather funny seeing the ponies fail miserably at doing each others' jobs."
Personally, I found that whole sequence to be rather Dude, Not Funny! As such, I was a bit annoyed to find that somebody deleted the section I added (something to the effect of "some viewers might consider this Dude, Not Funny! ") If I'm not mistaken, the Funny Moments page is YMMV, meaning that YMMV tropes would apply. In that case, why was it deleted?
Hide / Show RepliesYou know what we need for the page image here? Anvil on Twilight's head. You know the scene. Classic gag.
I'd add it myself, but... I don't know how to add pictures...
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you! Hide / Show RepliesCould work... but a lot of people REALLY didn't like that episode.

I'm seeing a lot examples on the by-season tabs have links that show what they are about, and others that have them removed citing Weblinks Are Not Examples. Under what circumstances are links permissible? When they are detailed enough to not have to rely on the links as examples?
