- The issue with Starlight became even more pronounced when Mirror Magic, the Equestria Girls special featuring Starlight, aired early in Poland (along with the other Equestria Girls specials). While there are fans who enjoyed it for the interaction between Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer, many found it to be an ever worse example of the issues featured in To Where and Back Again, such as the Humane Six, along with Sunset Shimmer, get worfed just so Starlight can save the day on her own. It's even more pronounced in Equestria Girls: Magic, Magic Everywhere!, the Novelization of all three specials, where Starlight Glimmer is present throughout the events of all three episodes, taking away some characters' feats, such as coming up with the idea for the Music Video instead of that being Rarity's own idea, or removing other characters' screen-time, such as replacing the Shadowbolts in the Music Video itself. This arguably tainted the argument more one-sidedly, as even some fans of Starlight are in agreement about the issues in the Mirror Magic special.
If 90% of it is the against side, is this too one sided to qualify? Any ideas to fix?
Hide / Show RepliesMaybe this could qualify under the Western Animation page for Creator's Pet? Because if even many of Starlight's fans are having problems with this special, I don't think it would qualify for Broken Base.
Edited by JJHIL325Moved to CreatorsPet.Western Animation, since it covers the issue and is too one sided to be Broken Base as written.
I was always aware of this fandom's irreversibly broken state, but ho-ly shit, going by the amount of things added to this page, you guys really need to take a massive step back and take a good, long look at the very thing you're all fighting over - a cartoon for children. How can a bunch of animated lines and colours result in such an incalculable amount of trivial division?
What about season 9?
