I think it's fine to make a sandbox for a work like Sandbox.Work Name and Sandbox.Work Name Characters, though it's honestly inefficient since you'll have to cut it every time you make the work page. If you want to use it later, I recommend just making Sandbox.Aazkaal for your troper page and using it (the character limit is 500000, I don't think you'll reach it easily even if both pages are long).

I think, I would use the second method for just characters page, since I have most problems with it; main page is linear (each book has its section, plus one section for setting overall), so it wouldn't cause much problems with editing even if I leave it in document instead of posting on wiki.

Thanks.

Using sandboxes to draft work pages is absolutely fine.

I do it all the time. It's what they're meant for- drafting pages or doing behind-the-scenes work.

Yes, though I am proposing an alternative as I do think that posting a new sandbox for every work can be pretty inefficient, since you have to cut them after you're finished and it's typically better to have a troper page sandbox.

Eh. I make so many sandboxes anyway for wick checks and cleanup projects and the like that it's not a big deal to have to occasionally cut a sandbox I was using for a work page. I prefer it to having to keep re-starting in the same sandbox.

I have to say I agree with that. I find it much easier to create a sandbox as a sandbox of the page itself and then cut it when it's done. The idea of reusing the same sandbox over and over for different things fogs my brain.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.

^Agreed. And anyway, this is more of a whatever-floats-your-boat situation, there's no better way to do it as long as you tidy up after yourself.

OP, you might want to swing by the work page help thread for more eyes.
