Typically we disambiguate by year. No work gets priority, meaning each work that shares name/namespace gets moved to a new name.
On rare occasions, there's reason to use the creator's name or the genre, but I don't think this is an example of such an occasion.

I was planning to add a page dedicated to Ian Livingstone's book "City of Thieves" from the Fighting Fantasy series, but I see that a there's already an entry for City of Thieves . How should I name it then? I mean, by date (e.g. Literature/ City of Thieves 1983), genre (Literature/ City of Thieves Gamebook) or author (Literature/ Ian Livingstone City of Thieves)?
