Bumping because I'm pretty sure there was conversation related to comic book characters' pages getting moved around, but I don't remember what the result was.

Here's a link to the thread discussing it. There's been a massive "cleanup" movement going on for a few months now, that's going to affect every comic book page before it's done.

EDIT: Rather than complaining, I'm going to try to offer helpful observations.

I think there's concerns about the way the project is currently proceeding. For example, Blade and Deadpool get tucked into the Marvel Comics Heroes page? Viv Vision and Nadia Pym get put into Champions (2016)? All of them have had books as either protagonist or a larger role. Why do Deadpool and Blade get stuffed into a generic "Heroes" page, while Luke Cage gets put on a Character page about his own series, and Viv Vision is stuffed onto a team page?

I think, at the very least, there doesn't seem to be a finalized, universal system of categorization. What takes priority? The character brand (like Spiderman and Luke Cage), the team brand (like Nadia Pym being put in Champions), or the character role (Heroes, Villains, etc?). The project needs that to be hammered down. Either characters like Daredevil and Deadpool should be put on their character page (since they are the focal characters of their own microcosm of supporting characters and rogues), or characters like Luke Cage and Shang Chi should be placed in the generic "Heroes" page. The current grouping is only confusing. I'm sure that the editors have their reasons for it, but if it doesn't make sense at a glance, how would an outsider know where characters go?

I have also noticed that there's a new rule that only pages with 40k worth of data are allowed to be split off into their own pages. But again, this seems arbitrary, because most of these characters are decades old and have been in way more printed material. At best, it's only a matter of time before some dedicated fan shows up and adds that much information for, say, Shang Chi.

^I know you are forum banned, but ATT is not the place to keep contesting ongoing projects, especially when this keeps coming up, so I'm just gonna skip over that first part.

Discussion for the snipping of shorter character pages is here, and arose independently of the comic book cleanup. The 40k (finalized in this thread, which was eventually merged into that other one) benchmark does not care much material a character has been in, nor are pages preemptively split just because someone might expand them. They don't have a ton of tropes, they don't get their own page.

The OP was questioning the categorization of a particular character, which is why I brought up the issues with Blade, Deadpool, Viv Vision, etc.

My dislike of the project aside, if this isn't the time to bring up that concern, then I don't know when is.

"They don't have a ton of tropes, they don't get their own page."

Blade, Daredevil, and Deadpool are on the Marvel Comics Heroes page and all three of them have a ton of tropes. In fact, Deadpool already has his own character page for other characters, so I'm not sure why he doesn't have his own character page for himself. Same goes for Daredevil, Doctor Strange, and the Punisher. These characters already had their own character pages, but someone decided that a page with over 5000 words and over a 125 lines wasn't big enough, so deleted those pages and moved them to a page that is waaaaay too big already.

^ Again, this is something that'd need to be discussed on the forums, not here. ATT isn't for these debates.

The question was answered. There's nothing more we can do here that'd be at all productive.

deleted the YMMV and Trivia pages

That doesn't sound right. If there were examples on those pages they should've either stayed or been moved somewhere else, not deleted. The cut reasons aren't helping either. For YMMV.Shang Chi the cut reason says: "Moved to YMMV/Shang-Chi" (there is no page at that name) and for Trivia.Shang Chi it says: "Moved to Marvel Comics" (that page only lists other Trivia pages)

Are cut reasons still bugged?
