Good God! That Top 11 list is over 50 minutes long! Doug spends the last half of it on the last four entries! Someone should upload to You Tube Doug's Garbage-Pail Kids rant only!
Aww, but it's all fun. Aside from the hilarious bits, I love him showing off his brain with how movies like The Cell could be improved. And the usual "you can like anything you want" sweetness.
It's quite funny to see Doug slip into Nostalgia Critic mode when talking about a film. I wonder if he realizes when he does it.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)As far as I recall, Critic never did the "you like/dislike what I dislike/like and that's fine" anvil that Doug keeps on dropping. Remember the Ignored Epiphany in The Grinch?

The Critic is just Doug if he never learned how to be polite to people
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)But with previous films that Doug himself reviewed out of character, like Twilight, he was more Tranquil Fury than anything when he didn't like it. The sheer level of hyperactivity and high-pitched, over the top ranting in those top 11 reviews is much more like the Critic character than Doug is normally.

And had an incredibly depressing childhood.

@Em: I think Bat Pencil meant Doug started slipping into the Critic's mannerisms, not that he was displaying the Critic's personality traits.
Groovy.@unnoun Eh, Twilight was pretty flaily and Motor Mouthed too, that was just about a really sometimes-triggery topic. (Although most of this was about being protective of kids, which is no less important.)

So, I bought a Blue Beetle trade today and Jaime mentions showing up on GNN.
Heh.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I'm sorry, I was listening to "The Review Must Go On" instead.
Very awesome video, though i was saddened by Inspector Gadget being on the list, for reason i mentioned when the initial review came out. (Worse than baby geniuses? really?)
Re: Livestreamed internet wedding
I've seen it once before, but the couple in question were very open.
"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerIf Todd and Lindsay ever got married, it would be more like them to do a wedding-themed sketch than to livestream it for people.
So Blip has these new promo scrollers. I saw a couple for Todd in the Shadows, a couple for Maven and N Chick...oh dear god, N Chick.
I've got adblock on. What's up?
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. She's, like, best friends with the people who work at blip studios (as they're centered in NYC), so I'm sure it can't be too bad.
Alright, I looked, she has glasses on and she's reading a book. Dull as hell, but I guess drinking beer and cuddling Mignon wouldn't have said anything either. Maven and Todd have more a gimmick in their reviews, and it probably would have been just as hard to do something for Critic.

I'm legitimately surprised that North or Milk Money didn't make the list.
There's only 11 spots.
Perhaps because while both cruel, they were really frigging cutesy about it? He seems to hate the "overly dark and ugly for no point" style more.
Milk Money didn't seem to be that terrible. Bad, certainly, but not abnormally bad.
North… Well, yeah, only 11 spots, and the review of that doesn't seem to be one of the ones that sticks in people's minds, so I imagine it was just less important to him.
It's interesting that 'wasted potential' seems to be one the things that sticks in his craw the most, incidentally.
North doesn't stick in people's minds?
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Hey guys! Been a while. *clears throat and sneaks in* I totally forgot about Biodome. I was surprised to see it on there. I was so damn mesmerized by the Garbage Pail Kids rant. I don't know I feel like enlightened or something. It was an amazing rant and I'm not really big on rants.
I like the scrollers! They make me happy. And if Todd and Lindsay got engaged I'd squee for ages. Then I'd seriously consider joining TGWTG if only to hook up with Film Brain.
Aaah, I would hope it was! I mean, yeah, I don't generally laugh when people are actually feeling bad. I follow raocow, and when he gets really angry at a game, he's just exhausted and hating himself for his perceived incompetence or sometimes it actually feels like he wants to hurt the person who made the game or wonders where he went wrong with his life to put himself through such torture for the sake of the internet. That's just depressing.
But I really enjoyed this incredibly much, because he really felt like an honest-to-goodness madman from a great movie, like The Joker or basically any Jack Nicholson character, and I love watching those and acting that way,* just because of this intensity. I don't know how else to describe it, it's just so cathartic and fun on a visceral level!
