School's starting soon, so I will be busy.
Yeah, I'm not gonna be around much for Wednesday, and this particular thursday.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)And I'm back on hiatus, because of university stuff.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Hi guys! Looks like I'm not the only one affected by college...
I'm driving down Highway 40 in my big old pickup truckNo.
Stupid doomed timeline...So ummmm, here is the dealio.
I cant GM this and WAOAA at the same time, I THOUGHT I could, but I cant.
Is any one up for going some place else with a diffrent GM then coming back to mass effect after WAOAA is done in titanfall?
I'd be okay with that.
sure I'm up for it
Fine by me.
If you feel you can't handle both of these at the same time, go ahead and let us go somewhere else, Sun.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Well do you all know where you want to go? Because I know I cant.
I wish I had time to DM for my own arc and had time to plan it all out. I'd totally suggest that one..
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Time to hold another world vote?
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Si, make sugestions.
I guess...well, the stuff I have planned for NeoSeattle is pretty basic, an my arc really revolves around Arc and some unfinished business...And Blu Beri Pi knows a lot about the setting. What do you all think? As long as we get the basic backstory laid down I think we can all go there.
>.< I'm a little hesitant as I'm relatively new here...
[forum cryptid: it/it's]The only problem I have with that is that your plot revolves around Arc.
And, really, that isn't a problem. What it is, is kind of an obstacle in GM terms, because plots that tend to revolve around single characters are significantly more difficult to run than others, for two reasons;
- It requires people to care about the character. If, say, I don't care about Arc as a character, I'm going to ignore the plot entirely because why should I bother? This ties into reason two;
- Audience participation. Again, since the plot revolves around Arc it may be difficult getting a lot of people to participate out of their own free will; her friends may be the only ones that feel like helping out. An alternate route is to simply make Arc's problems affect the entire group, but seriously don't do that it never ends well ever IC or OOC ever.
I'm not saying you shouldn't run the plot, nor that it's impossible. I'm just pointing out that it may be a lot harder to run than you think. However, I'd be willing to give you a shot at it, since you've been here a little bit and haven't managed to derp out like a lot of other newbies do.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Right, that's exactly the reason I'm hesitant!
In any case, there's plenty of side quests that could be explored. There's a bit of Fantastic Racism and some other elements that could be explored, and I'd GLADLY brainstorm with someone on that point.
But yeah, it's still something that needs a little more polishing up.
The main thing I was thinking was that it'd be a bit sandboxish for characters and they'd run into people/events/things as they travel around the greater Seattle Area as it exists now, with the cyberpunk/future element.
I'musing Seattle because they say to write what you know-in my case, that's science fiction and my hometown. Upon second though about the sandbox element, That all could lead to something overall,in a Rashomon Plot...but that's for me to figure out.
Essentially, however, I wanted to build Arc's backstory and really codify her character, as she's got some Early-Installment Weirdness going on but at the same time make something for everyone else. Heck, maybe even throw a puzzle in.

[forum cryptid: it/it's]That always works too. I was going to suggest this post that you put in a sort of B-plot for people who aren't interested in the Arc plot to do, but if you can come up with enough sidequests then I think that problem will have resolved itself.
Just figured I'd inform you of the difficulties of that sort of thing.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Right. I had thought of that before, as I know we have Loads And Loads Of Characters and making one plot revolving around my OC is...egotistical. Hell, Arc's plot may be the B-quest.
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Ah.
Seems like you've got that covered, then.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."I've got Gensokyo as a potential offering. Like I said earlier I'd GM it as a sandbox, hang with the characters of the land and do random stuff, solve minor incidents. Nothing drastic.
♌My main problem is time. I'd need a few people who could back me up when I'm in class and work. Additionally, I'm going to New York on the 13th of September, so it's probably better to hold off on Neo Seattle right now, but this IS a call for anyone who can help out with plot and G Ming.
[forum cryptid: it/it's]I can help anybody run a plot, just shoot me a PM.
♌I'd offer to say the actual real world...
in JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE LAND
but people here are getting sick of jojo so
Can't be helped. Most of the RP action falls strictly in the early afternoon-evening hours of North American timezones. It's just a natural consequence of the distribution of where the players live.
