i usually have chrom marry sumia, because obviously canon. Though sometimes I have him marry Olivia because Inigo as Chrom's son is honestly just too awesome. (Plus I usually S Rank Morgan and Inigo, and having my daughter marry the son of my best friend is pretty rad).

I don't play Female Robin (though when I do I have the Gay Awakening mod and I marry Anna anyway), and having Chrom marry either Sully or Maribelle is just weird.

now normally i'd totally say "the game is set up in such a way that no relationship is any more canon than another due to the way that the game is laid out and how the outrealms work, so Lucina is Robin's wife just as much as she's Robin's daughter just as much as she's Robin's nothing"

but

the cutscene where Chrom and Sumia fly off with each other in the beginning is literally titled "Love Birds"

Awakening's enemies are a lot more aggressive than I remember. There's barely any time for your team to breathe and regroup before the next wave is pouring down on you. And with how much area they can cover by mid-game, the whole thing really encourages a few super units because it's hard to cover the weaker ones. Not particularly tight design, but there is something to be said for map and enemy formation that encourages the main pair-up mechanic.

I literally never have Chrom marry Sumia. I've done all of the other options, but the game trying to shill Chrom/Sumia completely and totally soured me on the pairing. Though it is amusing that you can have Flavia basically tell Chrom and Sumia "you guys should kiss" with Chrom already engaged and Sumia already married. For extra bonus points, if you paired Chrom and Robin (though I believe Chrom/Sully is also possible by then), she's literally suggesting it in front of Chrom's fiancée.

Flavia: encouraging marital infidelity since 2012.

I'm not particularly serious regarding shipping, so while I'll pair up whoever I feel like in a given run, I generally prefer the pushed pairings. Roy/Lilina, Eliwood/Ninian, Chrom/Sumia, and the like.

Chrom x Male Robin is my non-canon timeline so I live it out through Female Robin.

Erase Sumia. Lucina will be fine she doesn't get FE Time Travel.

Soo... I have a little question, I found that Dorcas in Fire Emblem Heroes has voice lines that reference the infamous "No man can be trusted!/TRUST NOBODY!!!"-commercial for Blazing Sword.

My question is, are those references still in the japanese version? Because I dont think many japanese fans know about that commercial.

Japanese quotes are here. Google translate makes it look like the references aren't there in Japanese, but anyone who knows a damn thing about the language do feel free to jump in.

Regardless, it must be weird for the folks across the pond to see some random axe man memed into the game.

I've done each of Eliwood's and Hector's ships at least once to see each of the ending stills. All of them are pretty sweet, except Farina's, which has her basically forcefully pulling Hector along.

This is Farina we're talking about.

Sumia is sadly forgotten nowadays, Chrom's love interest or no. While she has no place in the plot heavy scenes, neither does anyone not named Chrom, Robin, Lucina and to some extent Lissa and Frederick.

I find it interesting that the non-Lyn and Ninian pairs for Eliwood and Hector are all Pegasus Knights though.

All Lords in FE 7 has a Pegasus Knight love interest. You can even have 3 Lord/Pegasus Knight pairing in the end.

Speaking of love interests, today I found out Katarina's base stat is similar to Linde's 15/6 stats. She also has higher Staff rank but unable to use Aura at the start, so gameplay-wise she is the Wendel to Linde's Merric.

x3 I don't know if I'd say Sumia is forgotten. The last Heroes poll had Sumia ranking pretty high up (#53 out of 800+ characters).

So I've been wondering - since Echoes introduced Tier Four classes (Yasha can even be Tier Five if promoted all the way from Villager), think class tiers higher than two will become more regular from now on?

A part of me hopes not, mostly because I prefer the simplicity of Unpromoted > Promoted classes. But another part of me kind of hopes so, because the attack animations for those classes will probably be something to behold.

There's only so much you can do before it becomes "the same class but slightly more".

I prefer if things stay at tier 3 at most. The thing about Echoes' tier 4 classes is that unless you grind you will not get to a level where you can use the class during the main story. My understanding is that they were mainly intended for postgame, especially Thabes Labyrinth.
