@Ninety: I dunno. Are you forgetting anything?
Play Lyn on hard at least.
Also, I didn't realize this till last time I played Lyn mode but the final chapter is really awful. Just a huge slog as your whole team is reduced to 1 move thanks to rain/forest tiles and almost no enemies.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.Oh yeah.
Lyn Normal has a set RNG early on due to being Forced Tutorial, Wallace loses eight potential levels of growth if you plan on using him, and/or you can't use the Knight Crest on Kent or Sain, if that would be your preference.
Eliwood mode obviously lacks Karla and Farina, and also is a few maps shorter in general.

Final chapter of Lyn mode can be sped up a bit by ferrying Lyn and anyone else you want over the mountains with Florina + Nils. They can start on Lundgren while the remainder of the team picks up the Energy Ring.
Lucius' joining chapter even more so since he can be dropped in range of the boss on the first turn. I had to stall a turn or two to get the village.
First chapter of Hector mode has Hector + Matthew with a red gem and some vulneraries obtainable. First chapter of Eliwood has 10000 gold given by his mom and two stat boosters (dragonshield from village, energy ring carried by Dorcas). So, a bit of an advantage there (idk why Hector mode doesn't give you this stuff anyway in the second chapter when everyone meets up...).

Only the sun has stopped. In other news, Priam's chapter: still kicking my ass. Am I just too weak? What levels are recommended for this chapter? Is the fact that I haven't been reclassing very much a problem?
I did manage to hit Priam with Mire though, that was fun.

Could be. In the very least, you want to match their stats because they have far superior numbers. Fighting the 2-ranges over the walls and killing them could help with survivability if your tanks are the ones getting clobbered.
Can't really say more without knowing the specifics of your army.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiI'm actually considering going for Grima now and saving Priam for next time now that I know more of the ropes of this game. Seriously, this is the hardest level I've ever played in a game. That's not a bad thing given that it is the Bonus Boss level, but not even the Fiends were this hard for me.
I've actually got most of my guys up to level 20, but only The Avatar and Chrom have ever been more than two classes.
Will I need to re-class some of them into new stuff? For the most part, I don't want to lose their old weapons, plus some of them have magic attacks that I want to keep as well.
One Strip! One Strip!Once they hit level 20 you can reclass them into the same class but at level one.
Of course having them spend some time as a different class is good because they get more skills. You can always turn them back to what they were before easily.
Oh really when?Checked the stats of Priam's guys vs. my guys. Yup, they're just plain better than me. You weren't kidding when you said this Paralogue is a massive Difficulty Spike from the other five.
Regarding FE 7, am I the only one who thought that Eliwood was boring as hell? The guy is milquetoast personified. Lyn's story was way more interesting than his, and Hector is a much more entertaining character. For all that Eliwood has drama with his dad and whatnot, I just could not bring myself to give a shit. He was so boring.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I had to look up what milquetoast was.
Thought it was a food
Oh really when? It's probably faint praise, but however boring Eliwood was he was way less boring than his son was.
I like both of the Pherean Lords.
That's the consensus. One I disagree with, by the way.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Priam's paralogue is harder than the final boss.
Heck, I'd say that most of the other Spotpass paralogues are harder than the final boss. If you were able clear all but Priam's, then Grima should be a joke to you by now.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I actually breezed through the other five, then ran into a brick wall with Priam.
Y'know, if Priam fought Grima, I think he'd win. And before you say "But you need Falchion," Ragnell took down an out-and-out god so I doubt a mere Fell Dragon would be a problem.

You know, he probably could take down Grima straight out from that paralogue in normal mode, at least. Plausibly hard mode as well, I've seen people beat that with unpromoted limit breaker units.
But not Lunatic. That thing is crazy.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.i've tried getting into fire emblem before and the permadeath thing turned me off every single time.
...but i kind of really want to play awakening. mostly because that soundtrack is POWERFUL. is it a good gateway game or should i just try to get into earlier fire emblem again? i'd probably have more patience for it now.
Awakening is the perfect gateway game.
And permadeath is optional in it.
Oh really when?i'll probably still play with permadeath on because i want to play like a manly man.
now i just need the money for it ):
There is no shame in turning off permadeath, it's what I do.
And the game has been out for a few years now, shouldn't be too hard to find a used copy without burning a massive hole in your wallet.
Oh really when?Turning off the permadeath is just fine, since continuing onwards without a unit still puts you at a disadvantage, since there's no resurrect/de-KO staff or anything like that, and thus, you're still in a position where using excessively risky strategies is a bad move. It just means you're not going to have to reset because of an enemy getting a lucky crit or skill proc.
I sure said that!Although it can be abused for some cheese strats like filling out the full deployment amount with weaker units with the intent to use those them as disposable decoys (granted, Classic/permadeath saves can also do this to a lesser extent with Spotpass units).

So I'm doing a FE 7 traditional run, Eliwood Normal, Lyn prologue and all that jazz. Anything I need reminding of?
