Your most shocking and hilarious "Hey, It's That Voice" moments

Just for Fun topic. How many times did you ever go, "Oh shi- that's actually ______ doing the voicing of ______!"

Share your moments of randomness when you realized just who was voicing who.

One of my moments was because of my watching Shuffle after Suzumiya Haruhi. The very first scene had me going "Is that Mikuru waking Kyon up?"

As the anime progressed, I think I fell out of my seat when Lisianthus spoke (In case you don't know, her seiyuu, Sayaka Aoki, also did Kyon's Sister. Cue Squick)

I remember realizing that Riful from Claymore was voiced by Nana "Fate Testarossa" Mizuki. *shudders*

A funnier one was in Aoi Hana, when I realized that Yasuko's three sisters are voiced by Teana, Shimako  ^*

and Nia.

I tend to have a lot of these moments, for some reason...

I had one when I watched Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.

What? Rena Ryuuguu is voiced by Mai Nakahara? Wait, she did Nagisa too, right? OH SHI-.

Another Mai Nakahara one: I watched Mai-HiME ages ago, before I had watched Nanoha, and before I payed attention to voice acting  ^*

. Then, rewatching it recently, I all of a sudden thought: "Is Midori about to offer to cool Mai's head?"

I have never experienced such a moment. I can recognize voices and sometimes say "oh hey, it's that guy from _____" but it never strikes me as hilarious or shocking.

Speaking of Yukari Tamura... I had a triumvirate realization on that one, and unbelievably, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha was not involved:

So it started when I watched Clannad, with Mei being voiced by her. Shortly thereafter I watched Kanon 2006, and looked up Mai's seiyuu, only to discover it was her as well. I was already amazed at her versatility between the loli and mature voice, but the one role that really turned it onto my head was Rika Furude, where she frequently swaps between both voices.

And if you wanna hear her speak deadpan and adult-like all the time, go watch Umineko No Naku Koro Ni.

Mary Elizabeth Mc Glynn voiced the Major in ''Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex', and then went on to voice the female UEF commander in Supreme Commander. So apparent someone though McGlynn vould be a nice voice for a military commander, which is fine; she did a great job as the Major and she's a voice actress; it's her job, after all.

Then Robert Epcar appeared as her second-in-command. I almost did a spit-take. That's pure fanservice.

Concerning the Major's Japanese VA, despite not having watched a lot of Ghost In The Shell when I was a kid, I immediately realized that Kyrie Ushiromiya would be one badass mother. No, not Kallen.

Well, there are tons of them.

Leloupard being the most obvious one. (speaking of which, I might have to actually finish that series at some point) I also remember getting WTF-ed by The third hokage being one of the main villains.

Of course, when I noticed that the voice playing Sasuke in Naruto also played the younger Aiba brother in Infinite Ryvius I just laughed, since the roles were so similar.

I had nothing else but a Flat "What" to offer when I realized that Nemu and Kaori had the same seiyuu.

Oh btw Arilou, I think it's Sora Wo Kakeru Shoujo.

You think that's weird? Senjougahara is Becca. Apparently Chiwa Saitou auditioned for the loli role and got the other one. I didn't include that because I though this thread was about actually recognizing their voice on your own.

What? Okay, sure, she does both Subaru and Nove, but Quattro too? That is seriously fucked up. I pinned the first two but the third one I found on This Wiki and I was shocked.

Yeah, that is pretty weird. On a related note, she also plays Miyako in Sasameki Koto, which I found amusing...

I don't think I've ever watched enough anime to get this. I mean, I've watched two things subbed, and around five things dubbed. Four of those five were before I ever cared about voice acting (eg. Pokemon. Seriously, that grates my ears now.)

I get it in western animation sometimes. Usually between different Disney (or was it Nickelodeon?) shows.

Well, I can just say this: I was watching a clip of subbed Naruto, and I realized - Fate and Nanoha are Hinata and Tenten.

I chuckle at Shizuka Ito using the exact same voice for Hinagiku Katsura and Hisa Takei.

She sounds quite a lot like those two when she voiced Shari, but her Bishoujo and sexy voice kinda took me by surprise when she voiced Tamaki Kousaka.

I got this with Ben Tennyson and Timmy Turner, both by Tara Strong.

When Ryusei Nakao turned up in Cowboy Bebop as young Rocco Bonnaro in Waltz for Venus, I did a Double Take. At that time, I knew that voice as Kurotsuchi Mayuri.

Going back, the first role I saw Miki Ito voice was Genki Girl Asa Shigure. All I could say was "Fu-" when I heard her voice coming out of the mouths of Miyo Takano and Eva Ushiromiya and EVA-Beatrice.

the mex dub Naruto uses the same voice actor as Ben10.

I squeed when I heard Tomokazu "Kyon" Sugita yelling INFERNO DIVIDER!

And when I found out Tetsuya "Simon" Kakihara was the voice behind HAKUMEN...I couldn't believe it.

My biggest, "WTF, it's that voice?" That would probably be the realization that Domon Kasshu and Shuichi Shindou were voiced by the same man.
