It was discussed elsewhere, but Gumball and Go!, the most aired shows on the network both have the 11 minute standalone comedic slice-of-life factor working in their favor. Even Adventure Time and Steven Universe have gotten sidelined outside new ep. airings. (BTW, is there a trope for when there aren't any repeat airings of a currently running show in primetime?)

DC doesn't have an contract with Netflix they could put their stuff on it if they want.
But Netflix did sign a deal recently to be the exclusive streaming provider of all Disney and Marvel movies going forward.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure(3)
I was being a bit facetious. Netlifx is Marvel's "territory" because they have 4 shows on there, produced by Netflix now. There are DC shows there too but Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist made big splashes by being Netflix original series. That doesn't stop DC from putting their own shows on there, but they haven't done so to my knowledge.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I'm already aware that there's several DC live-action and animated series on Netflix, though I wonder why they haven't tried putting any original shows on it. Young Justice seemed like an obvious route for a Netflix-exclusive continuation.
I'm pretty sure Season 3 will be on Netflix eventually, but I agree that the Netflix exclusive continuation would have been the best choice. Is this DC streaming thing free, though?
It would only be "free" if it comes with a ton of ads. More likely than not though, it would probably involve a paid subscription.
Honestly, I kind of find it troubling that more people on various social networks are choosing to pirate the new season. Of course, everyone's economic status differs to where some can afford all the current streaming services (and then some), or none at all. However, not being able to secure decent merchandise sales (causing Mattel and Cartoon Network to pull out from funding) primarily killed the show.
Yeah, I would have rather the show air on bigger streaming sites (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, or VRV), but Warner Bros ideally wanted a direct source this time seeing as they're on their own. I mean, if some fans were willing to support a (shady) budget fundraiser years ago with $42,960 total (only to be turned down by Warner Bros later), I can only hope that the number of pirates doesn't overshadow the paid users.

It's their own fault for depending on merchandise they barely even promoted or shipped to stores to sell the show. Especially considering it was a show that was doing very well in ratings. Also they didn't pay a lick of attention to the type or age of audience that was watching the show.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"It's part of a larger discussion, and one not quite on topic, but popular media (movies, video games, shows) are about to hit a giant crash/crunch simply because people's disposable income has been used up.
With that, piracy is going to go up. You can justify paying for Netflix when you're comfortably employed, but people who aren't will be more inclined to watch the shows they want by other means. It's ironic because those are the people who are going to engage in escapism more.
The current models of ad-supported content and premium paid content can't last. What good is showing ads for products to people who can't buy them? That will be hitting them on one side, piracy on the other, I don't believe things are looking bright for content creators.
It's a miracle this show is back, and maybe the last chance it could even happen.
Fair point. According to some toy reviewers, the figure sets and large, standalone figures were mediocre at best (when they could obtain them). Young Justice: Legacy, besides its writing and voice work, was really subpar, low budget, and came out months after cancellation news. Plus, besides some DVD sets, and two Happy Meal promotions, that seemed to be about it in merchandise.
Still, seeing as Warner Bros-DC even bothered to revival the show, I rather not give Warner Bros a lazy excuse to cancel it again.
For me, ad-supported model is the last resort, unless there's a reasonable alternative that benefits both.

I do agree that it'd be nice if the fandom could help contribute and pay for the service, and I have no doubt that some will considering what some were willing to do when we first heard we might get a revival. But unfortunately there's probably a good portion that are poor college students.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"For the record, I never download pirated videos. I watch shows on some obscure free streaming sites like KissCartoon, if they aren't already available on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.

I sympathize mostly with people that either can't afford even a single streaming service or those that could potentially be region-locked. But when people are genuinely whining because they already have seven or eight services already, I don't really care. If they can afford to pay for those, why not one more? Or why not temporarily cancel one of those subscriptions while getting the DC one for YJ?
FYI, this is from someone who can't even afford Netflix regularly and have to sporadically get it only when someone I'm interested in comes out.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).If there's no other options I'm willing to download the video, but that doesn't happen often and I usually just stick to streaming sites as well.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"There's only so many services the market can support. WB may learn that the hard way.
Yeah, I'm expecting that DC/WB are going to have a hard time competing against streaming giants like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. Which is exactly why having their own streaming service in the first place is a rather questionable decision.
Warner Bros just rolled out their Boomerang streaming service, so they may have some confidence that it and DC Digital (this one hosting the upcoming Season Three and "Titans" live action show, along with being an content archive) will do well.
HBO GO must be doing something right for a solo service, hence why CBS All-Access, Feelin (Hallmark/Robert N.Fried owned), some sports networks, and now DC Digital are following the trend.
Who knows, maybe VRV will partner with DC to make it subchannel like Crunchy Roll.

So is this show better than Teen Titans? note I hated Teen Titans. Raven was the only character I had any interest in whatsoever.
Sadly, this show lacks Raven.
This isn't exactly Young Justice related, but this does seem like the place where I'm most likely to get an answer. Is there a DC comics character who has a reputation for hunting demons and stuff, but is also kind of prejudiced against them? Like, he'd hunt down and kill a werewolf while in human form to prevent him from killing people. Or possibly he'd try to kill Raven since she's half-demon. When I think supernatural characters the first thing that pops into my mind is John Constantine, but he makes deals with demons all the time so I don't think he'd be hung up on little things like this.
Some kinda Knight Templar type?
If there was, he'd likely be a villain or cast as one.
x2 Well there is a character I read from volume 3 of Teen Titans name Kid Crusader. He basically blames demons for killing his missionary parents and was recruited as part of Deathstroke's Titans East to take out the current iteration of the Titans.
Basically he is there to take out a certain demonic member of the team . . . Kid Devil. And he did by exorcising his demon half making him normal.
@Nikkolas To answer your question: yes. But there is no Raven in this show . . . well not yet at least since season three isn't out yet. But other than that it is a superior version of Teen Titans in terms of characters, animation and world building.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.
@Soble: What, does Marvel have some exclusive contract with Netflix for streaming original series that DC doesn't have?
