Neatness. I doubt we will get info we haven't already gotten from magazine scans and the like, but I've always enjoyed watching official sites grow and add more and more info.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Uncut(i.e. somewhat longer) version of TGS trailer now on Youtube:

Umbran Climax◊Aw, they're not using a speech program for Steven. Good to hear though that the demons, at least the plot-relevant ones, will be voiced.
Well the site sure is up.
The music is nice?
So far the only info up is I think the credentials of the folks working on the game and the second trailer.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I didn't notice the single Frost Ace in very front of the Jack enemies till I saw the uncut trailer. Also stopped by the trope page for IV as well. I don't get how someone can get Humans Are the Real Monsters from a quote about Adam eating the forbidden fruit. Humans are always curious about the unknown or forbidden things, doesn't make us bastards.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I am not sure how anyone can get any plot details like that.
I think at most, we know some setting info. We don't even know what the game is actually about.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Been playing Strange Journey for the first time, and I have a few questions:
1. I've played SMT 1, and usually I'm just fine talking to most demons instead of fighting them gung-ho unless they instigate battle due to their alignment. But I've noticed a major drop-off between the first area and the second in this game, where i'm usually wiped within the first 1 or 2 rounds. So am I supposed to do more fighting to level up and not as much talking in this game? I don't wanna have to kill stuff I've already recruited :/
2. Is there some trick or safe way to identify unknown demons? Every time I go in, all guns blazing, or even defending, I'm usually killed off before I survive the battle knowing what the things are.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.not as far as im aware, there is no way to identify static besides killing it and entering another battle with it.
Am I encouraged to fight stuff whether I've recruited them or not? Or should I talk when possible, and then fight when appropriate? I'm well aware that leveling up is sloooooow in most SMT games.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.well, theres no penalty from fighting demons you've recruited, and you'll need the levels to further recruit and really to progress, so id say yes.
hrm. alright.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.You all know the protagonist of SMT1◊, right? I found an official artwork of him wearing the most over-the-top armor I've seen on any human in the franchise ever◊, and this is apparently the strongest armor-set you can get in the first game. I know I was baffled for a second there when I saw that. o_O To be fair, it does look really goofy, but then again, it's kinda charming in it's own, surprisingly silly way. The fact that he manages to pull off a Kubrick Stare with only one free eye (the other one's covered by that eye-covering thingy connected to his COMP. I guess that thing's actually there to show him the status-interface with the HP and MP of everyone) is pretty boss too, if I do say so myself.

I saw that when it was uploaded.
I admit, I laughed. I can totally see him going in to fight Asura/Michael and them just going "Uh...what are you wearing?" and then get nuked to death. It's just WAY too over the top. It looks less like he is in the best gear and more like he's declared himself God Emperor of the universe.
That reminds me, there is art of the MTII Hero with his roboarm and such, but I've only seen screenshots, not scans.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I had to hold a few chuckles back when I saw that artwork. xD Dude's what, eighteen years old? And he's wearing that big, heavy-looking armor like it's nothing? Badass...
That reminds me, in the same batch of images uploaded, there was a early color scheme for Beth.
Her final design is mostly unchanged, just the bright green that clashed with her blue cloak was replaced with more blue, which looks a million times better.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Yeah, the green doesn't really fit. :/ But other than that, any more artwork to some of the other protagonists, like to Aleph or the Demi-Fiend? I guess Kazuya (I'm always calling the SMT 1-protagonist that) doesn't have more, right?
Wait, what, the MT 2-hero? You mean from the Famicom-game?
Well, other than that, man how I love to discover new artwork of (main) characters from older games, where the ingame-graphics often weren't sufficient enough to depict a whole lot of details. Makes them feel more intriguing to me. :>

I think there is art of the MT2 Heroine with her hood up on the same page of the artbook where I saw the Hero with his cloak and roboarm. The art is all from the Kyuyaku btw.
I also recall seeing the back of the original Famicom version box that has the Hero and Heroine negotiating with a demon, and the Hero has a pretty cool, different looking cloak.
As for art I can show?
Here is a early Hiroko◊ She looks pretty styling I guess, but I do think her final design fits with the game's setting better.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I'd like to see that artwork. But you don't have access to it anymore, do you? ^^"
Also, yeah, Hiroko is pretty stylin'. But, as you said, her finalized clothing fits the setting more.
Yeah, I forgot where I found the Famicom box scans. Sorry.
EDIT: The link to the Kyuyaku art is here at the bottom. I am not sure if the auction for the book is still up so I am just going to post to the wiki bit where it was linked.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Oh... aw, well, no problem. ^^ Cool, thanks! :>
Well... other than that, I'd actually really like to play SMT 1 with all the improvements from the GBA/PSX-remakes and in a language I can actually read on the 3DS. Maybe make it an eShop-exclusive, or as an unlockable Embedded Precursor to Shin Megami Tensei IV. Because that one's (SMT 1) so far my favourite, and I actually finished the japanese GBA-version, with loads of FAQ-using and lucky guesses concerning what spells I have and what they do, because I like it that much. I tried the SNES-version, which did get a fantranslation, but the game-engine itself is extremely clunky.... xP

I got to admit I like that design better, what she actually wears in the game is awfully liberal for a single mother living in a religious dictatorship...
"@[=g3,8d]&fbb=-q]/hk%fg"Technically, she isn't officially a single mother. Technically, she is a Temple Knight who deals the Church's justice and all.
While it's not the exact same outfit, it matches with Beth and Zain's outfits, who are also Temple Knights. And it fits with the designs of the other characters (I mean, heck, while they aren't skimpy, Aleph still has tight leather clothing and he and Daleth has armor over their crotches)
EDIT: Not that I am complaining about the designs. Kaneko manages to design the outfits so they work. But yeah.
edited 11th Oct '12 12:31:17 PM by Otherarrow
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I like Kaneko's designs. Though I can't get over the fact that he gave Kazuya (SMT 1-guy) such an 80s-hairdo◊ in his original designs◊. xD Thank god he did away with that in the redone artwork of him in the PSX-version...

So, hey. News.
Donate money to Skullgirls, get a sweet poster. In the fifth, Atlus will finally decorate the SMTIV site, as well as put the TGS trailer.
