Bad image.: Car Fu

The image is both JAFAAC, two separate images, and offers no real clue as to what's going on.

I think this◊ is a better image.

The top picture isn't all too necessary, but the bottom picture is still a dude getting hit by a car all the same.

Maybe that current picture could be misunderstood as just an accident? That wasn't exactly my initial reaction when looking at the bottom picture though.

Yeah, it was one of the first things I've noticed upon looking at the picture—the man in front of the van. And I don't think I've ever actually looked at this page before, either.

I can't spot him either if he's there so it's not just Deboss.

Yeah its there, its kind of hard to see since the line lines up with the trees. anyways I still think we should not use anything Real Life looking picture for this.

No, that's not the car being used as a weapon. That's superman saving someone from being hit by a car.

The Super Hero Variant is probably the best bet. (I was looking for a good screen shot of Eva kicking the trolley car at Negi from the recent Negima OAD but my god it moves so fast there isnt a good frame of it.)

Deboss' image from Empowered in the OP post works for me. It's very clear that she's intentionally running over someone as an attack.

Eat Hummer, dillweed! works for me. So would a picture of somebody hitting a villain/giant monster with a car, if anybody knows of one that's clear.

The current picture doesn't work. When I first looked at it, not only didn't I see it as a guy being hit, I didn't realize the car was in motion. Partly due to the unnecessary (or at least unhelpful) first image, I thought it was a "before and after" thing, and the second pic was some guy fixing the van after it had been used as a weapon.

The "dillweed" image is pretty good, though I think a good "superhero picking up a car and hitting a guy with it" would be even better.

Unfortunately, the Atomic Robo image on the same page as the quote isn't, IMO, quite clear enough.

The Action Comics #1 image, incidentally, isn't really Car Fu or a rescue. In the story, Superman picks up the car, then shakes the bad guys (and Lois, who get just as rough a landing as the crooks, but she was a grade-A bitch who deserved it back then!) out of it. Then Superman smashes the car, as on the cover, just for the hell of it. That's pretty much how Superman rolled in the early days....

The text is clear and easily readable, and the image is clear even at that size.

^^^Thanks for clearing that up. I was trying to figure out how that image could be interpreted as Superman saving someone from a crash when he's clearly smashing the car. It's still not really an example though.

Yeah, but adding a comment about how she Drives Like Crazy only adds to the Crazy Awesome-ness and humor of that image.
