I wonder if Holy Kujo ever learned about Josuke, and how she'd react to both him and her dad. It's kind of Master Roshi-like how his half-sister is older than his grandfather
I'd think she'd learn about Josuke through Suzie Q if she had no-one else to confide to, or possible her son. I mean, the revelation of Josuke was mentioned to "shake the whole family" so it can be presumed that Holly at least knows he exists.
Especially cause, yannow, they discovered Josuke when writing out Joseph's will.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceI wonder how Holly would feel about it. I doubt she'd hold it against Josuke, though I am curious how she'd behave towards her father.
Also, where is Sadao and why doesn't he ever show up ever?! Is he on an endless tour or something?
I've been curious about how Suzy Q would feel about Josuke. Not the adultery, but Josuke himself. She'd have every reason in the world to hold a grudge against Josuke's mother, but the guy himself? She seemed nice/Genki Girlish enough not to hold that against him.
Suzy's a sweetheart and Josuke's a nice kid when he's not robbing you and nobody's talked shit about The Hair. I'm sure they'd get along fine.
And I fucking hope Suzy isn't going to resent a byblow of Joseph for existing, because she thinks Suzuka's one. And I only just now realized that the latter is probably named after the former.
I imagine that she'd be delighted to have a brother and laugh off her father's infidelity. I mean, she's been cheerfully overlooking Jotaro's Jotaroness his whole life.

Pretty sure Holly knows Jotaro is just a Tsundere though.
That almost makes me wonder if naming the baby Shizuka wasn't an attempt to placate Suzy, since they sound at least little similar.
Wait, crap, it was Shizuka? That explains why I never noticed the similarity and also I am dumb.
She's possibly also named after Caesar / Shiizaa.

Remember, Suzie wasn't mad at Shizuka for existing, she was mad because she thought Joseph had another tryst with someone, and it is mentioned that after a short while she adored her. So I think she'd have a similar reaction to Josuke.
A little peeved at him at first due to the fact he's the walking talking evidence that Joseph had a fling with a - by all accounts in narrative - a highly attractive young woman 42/43 years his junior (Josuke was born when Tomoko was 20 considering she's 36 by DIU indicates she was 19/20 when meeting Joseph). But after a while would probably grow to adore him.
(Unrelated, but look at what I was able to pick up in the city lmao◊)

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.For some reason Dio's dub voice sounds like Yami Bakura
The anime. What's DIU?
I like to keep my audience riveted.Diamond is Unbreakable. Each part has its own subtitle, this one being from Part 4. For the record, Part 1 is called Phantom Blood.

I'm sad Josuk8 never caught on.
Now you point it out, so am I.
@Demetrios: cool. prepare for lots of ham, strange powers and even stranger outfits.
speaking of which, the wardrobe tends to make you forget how hardcore and ruthless Buccelati and his crew can be.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Pesci legit gets more character development over the course of Grateful Dead than other main characters get over the course of entire arcs. He and Hambone are probably some of my fave characters from VA, along with Risotto and Tiziano/Squalo.
In fact, I feel like the minor antagonists this time round are actually the most fleshed out of any ensemble (As much as a minor character can). At least La Squadra has a clear motive for why they're doing what they're doing and are framed more as anti-villains rather than just "I'm greedy/I'm evil/I'm loyal/Some fuck told me to" from SDC and DIU.
And yeah, Abbacchio's backstory and his death were rather impressive Tear Jerkers for me (Especially since goth dad was my fave from the VA friend ensemble)
Also the character to character moments and team dynamics were pretty damn excellent. The Cafe scene at the start is still one of my fave moments from the series as a whole, as well as the dance torture scene on the boat. Plus Pesci/Prosciutto, Tiziano/Squalo and Cioccolata/Secco probably had the best fights in the series outside of Metallica not only due to how their arcs were a lot less cluttered but also how they would work in conjunction with their partner to thwart Buccellati's gang.
I mean it takes a really clever fuck to find a good way to use a stand like Talking Head intimidating but Araki's always been really good at making one-note, over specialised stands become actual threats because of a clever user (another reason why Enigma Boy is one of my favourite arcs in Jo Jo).
