Geniuses are wrong just as much as anyone else. The difference is that they don't give up after being wrong. House's stubbornness is, like, a defining trait of the character.
(´・ω・`)Who cares about the diagnoses, anyway? I thought everybody watched this show for the funny antics.
All shows about geniuses have them go wrong for 75% of the episode. It would otherwise be a Boring Invincible Hero , and nobody wants to watch that.

I was actually sad to hear that House got renewed. I don't care for seasons 6 and 7, and I was hoping they'd let it go with the little grace it had left.
To be honest, I haven't found this show nearly as engaging as I used to since the middle of season five.
(´・ω・`)I still think that the end of this season was another dream/hallucination, and I don't know if the idea upsets me or not.
Insert witty one-liner here.I'm really curious about how they are gonna continue the series after the finale. House burned a hell of a bridge in that episode, how he is supposed to keep working at the hospital, even with Cuddy out since Lisa Edelstein didn't renew her contract, is beyond me.
You know he's just gonna be hired back in two episodes.
I'm a skeptical squirrelWell yeah, but they made such a deal out of "Cuddy is the only one who can put House in check"-thing in the past that it's gonna be really weird continuing the show without her.
He'll drag them all to the beach and run his own practice there.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Maybe he pretends he's got various diseases so he can visit the free clinic a lot, taking a look at patient files that his old crew "accidentally" left lying around while he's there, and telling them the diagnosis on his way out.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoNew season started up. I for one am disappointed he isn't staying in the prison.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. So I switched on the tv last night, and up pops Hugh Laurie driving around L.A. at 3pm, muttering "fuck" into the camera.
...you're all right, PBS.
I'm a skeptical squirrelI'm thinking the new girl on House (the intern) is going to be very interesting. Her aversion to gifts in particular may point toward being distrustful of people. There is a virtue in gift-giving; it says "I'm willing to be a little indebted to you, which means I won't bite your head off if given half a chance." We distrust those who don't accept gifts because we assume they are getting ready to bite our heads off.
Wasn't she only refusing to accept the gifts as part of a plan she and House came up with to get the other girl to give her a really big gift?
Man, the excessive use of Reset Button is getting annoying as hell. Herp derp, we can't have House undergo Character Development, otherwise we'll run out of generic plots to write!
And once again they bring in new female characters but leave the male ones remain. Woooo.
This show has jumped the shark so hard it's not even funny.
Murrl LustFatMThis shtick of making Wilson the Butt-Monkey does not play. He has no friends, no personal space, most of his patients die, he's twice divorced and his last girlfriend was killed by House. But hey, let's keep this Riggs/Murtaugh dynamic where one is constantly trolling the other.
But I do agree this season is a lot better.

I'm a skeptical squirrelWow, this weeks episode was a little much Drama Bomb, was it? I mean a 14 year old girl with DID and Cancer, who blames herself for her fathers death for crying at age 2. Seems the writers went a little over the top with this one.
You lost!Rule of Drama. The important thing is that the patient was at the forefront. House made personal sacrifices in pursuit of a cure.
I'm a skeptical squirrelOk... House is supposed to be the best Diagnostician in the hospital, right? and his fellows are supposed to be pretty damn good too.
Where does Wilson (my favourite character) fall on the scale then? Maybe it's because he always seems to be on House's level but I always got the impression that he was more competent than House's team.
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelHe is good but he is trained Oncologist if he joins in a discussion Cancer will usually be the first thing out of his mouth, he even lampshades this once or twice.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!He IS the oncologist. He shouldn't be involved unless cancer is one of the possible diagnoses. This would be an accurate use of him. Bringing Wilson into a discussion that never involved cancer, just to bring him onto the show, would be pointless.
Foreman is a Neuroligist. Taub is a plastic surgeon. Hell, House specialises in Kidneys and Infectious Diseases. This didn't stop any of them from correctly diagnosing and suggesting cures for diseases outside of their specialities. Why not Wilson too?

My one gripe about the show is that for being a supposed diagnostic "genius", House is wrong for like 75% of the episode and spends most of the episode groping around in the dark for the proverbial bra clasp.
