The former, I think. I can understand that any doctor who had such a strong belief in "do no harm" would have a hard time dealing with the fact that they went against their own morals when their beliefs were put to the test.

She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!I've never seen the appeal of this show. It's okay if I've got an hour to spare and don't want to think too hard, but over several episodes the characters just get annoying, and there's never any kind of development to them.
I agree that most of the characters are uninteresting. I found myself bored at the Foreman/Thirteen relationship problems last season. Call me unsympathetic, but I was really bored.
I personally dislike medical/occupational dramas in general, so I'd say that House himself is what makes the show. That is, if you find that kind of cynical and selfish character interesting. It helps to like the deadpan humor, too.

She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!Yeah, The Foreman/Thirteen stuff got pretty boring after a while (by a while I mean like two episodes). Their romance always seemed a little forced.
Speaking of Thirteen, did she get Put on a Bus with Taub? I'm glad the original cast is back, but the way they handled Taub leaving rubbed me the wrong way—he didn't even get to quit himself, it was Thirteen who did it for him.
derp derp derpMaybe they were waiting to see if it stuck enough to get the fans to refer to them as "Foreteen."
I think Thirteen will be back. I'm thinking they're foreshadowing Chase leaving, so there will be a spot
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! In the latest House episode House came to an 80s party in a period costume. He defends his choice by claiming that nobody had specified that it was supposed to be the 1980s. I am no expert on this sort of stuff and couldn't tell what period his costume was supposed to be from, but to me it looked a lot like the costume Hugh Laurie wore for his role as Prince George in Blackadder in th 80s.
If true it would make this a hillarious Shout-Out.
I assumed that's what it was.
Sex, Drugs, and RationalityI still like Foreman.
But in Blackadder the Third the Duke of Wellington is still alive and everyone wears Regency-esque clothes.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!Another really good episode this week. It seems that this season is being good sporadically.
"I could eat a knob at night" - Karl PilkingtonThe focus on Wilson was a nice change, I agree. He's one of the more interesting characters, I think.
Also, this is the first time we got to contrast him against House at every step of the way.

She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!I found seeing the House Team's cases from an outsiders perspective to be absolutely hilarious.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Xanatoses (Xanatosi?) ahoy!
In the latest episode (with the drug dealer as the patient), House made a quip about Chase along the lines of:
"Is it safe to leave you alone with the patient, or will you smother him with a pillow?"
This was obviously in reference to Chase killing James Earl Jone's character. But Chase laughed in response.
Anybody else think that Hugh Laurie was ad-libbing it and they just said Throw It In!?

She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!Seemed like that to me.
Insert witty one-liner here.House is back, and I think that the last episode was great. The soap was put on a back-burner, which left a lot of room for a Wilsom-vs-House subplot, besides one of the more interesting patients in the season.
My latest liveblog. The House-Wilson thing was awesome. I like how Wilson was a forest imp in the porn film, probably as an allusion to RSL's role as Puck in Dead Poets Society.
My stupid television addict connections: The patient was played by Donna from That Seventies Show. RSL's character's father in Dead Poets Society was played by Red Foreman from That Seventies Show.

She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!Tommorrow's episode "Lockdown" is the one that Hugh Laurie himself directed. Going to want to see that.
She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!Hm. It's a Bottle Episode, which features House rather little and has no medical mystery. I predict Mixed Reviews.
My latest liveblog.Thoughts on the episode "No Reason" - BLAM Episode or A Day At The Bizarro?
Question what you think.House/Cuddy are getting cuter.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Okay, what the FOX is going on?! There's no House tonight, and no excuse! There's just an episode of Human Target—which, I might add, they somehow managed to still find room for on Wednesday despite American Idol having started up. I fear the worst.
Q: What Pokémon is good at treating colds? A: Cyn-Day-Quil®I dunno, House getting canceled? I just don't see it. It's one of the most popular shows on television right now, isn't it? Although, admittedly it's not as compelling as it once was.
(´・ω・`)
How can we not have a thread for House? As of now it's in its sixth season.
A bit late, but the 2-hour premiere "Broken" (the one they filmed in a psychiatric hospital) was definitely worth seeing. The best character study of House himself that they've done for House in a long time.
More recently, House's medical team is gone except for Foreman, Chase, and Cameron. Chase is in some trouble for killng James Earl Jones' "evil politician" character. Do you think his struggle is an interesting and emotionally honest subplot or unnecessary angst?
