Favorite lines from your own writing

I loved the last part.

Anyway, a little line from a random thing..

Not quite favorite, but just a decent Pre Ass Kicking One Liner:

"So, you say that loser is the evil, huh? Well then, the evil you shall be!"

• Proceeds a massive beatdown, along this line*

No, I am not ready. I can feel Freddy's soulless eyes staring into my very being from the desktop icon for the game.

Anyway, another line

Context: This is being shouted by a Viking like war chief, who leads a group of giant moth riding warriors.

"So, you say that loser is the evil, huh? Well then, the evil you shall be!"

That language's kind of stilted, and it's basically a childish 'no u' retort anyway. Unless the speaker isn't familiar with the language he's speaking, I wouldn't recommend it. Possible alternatives:

"So might makes right, yeah? Suits me, asshole."

"Nah, dude, you're pretty evil either way. But if you insist..."

"You're being anime. Please stop being anime."

Haha, awesome! Not only this line feels more nuanced, it's much more pithy and totally in character for her, thanks!

Not sure if I can use the word "ass-hole" in a YA novel, though.

Something many people forget.

"Her voice technically wasn't defensive, but it could see defensiveness if it peeked around the corner."

"Am I insane?"

"Yes, everyone on this earth is. You're just not good at hiding it, so we need to work on that."

"South Korea is kind of like diet North Korea. It's better for you in a lot of ways, but it has a muted taste, and it contains aspartame which can potentially give you brain cancer."

As a political scientist and amateur East Asia scholar there's just so much wrongness in that statement it makes my hairs stand on end.

I'm particularly partial to this one:

"It wouldn't be love if we only gave it to those who deserve it."

Bet mine's straighter. Yeah, that one...is bizarre, and not in good way.

"So... Do you know what I'm thinking right now?"

"Yes... You're wondering why the hell you should believe I'm telepathic."

The point of the joke is that the metaphor trails off and doesn't make sense anymore. I wasn't trying to be offensive or make any serious statements.

Not an Eldritch Abomination, but a pretty good line anyway. :D
