Well, you could put in the Film subforum, seein' as it's a film. :P
survival of the tight-lippedNow is late to do that. Maybe the mods can do it.
I have seen it three times, and still cover my face at the eye scene.

I can't stop listening to thisI tried watching it once, but it seemed pretty dull.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.It was disappointing, since Salvador Dali was involved and I expected more.]] At least I got another thing parodied here, though/shameless pimp
C'est Un Chien Andalou, je suis présque certain.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!^ Oops. I keep doing that mistake.
I can't stop listening to thisI've seen it once. I recall very little about it, probably due to a combination of brain shutdown at that scene and not really having a great deal of experience with Dada or surrealism at that point and my memory couldn't figure out how to file it.
And I corrected the title and moved it to Film

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I didn't think That Scene was that bad—it's all the lead-up.
By the way, in case anyone hasn't seen Dali's scene from film Spellbound, here it is (with some more Dali at the end). Dali + Hitchcock + Gregory Peck + Miklos Rosza? It's too much!
It really depends. I know that I saw That Scene cold — I had no idea what was coming. And it's the only image from the whole movie I remember at all. I can see where if you knew it was coming you could be more ready to deal with it.
Now it's gotten to the point that it's a case of All There Is To Know About The Crying Game — if you know anything at all about the film, you know about That Scene. And I know folks who have seen That Scene but never seen the rest of the film at all.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.You will remember it for That Scene and just That Scene.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I'll be honest.
I turned it off after watching that scene.
Am I a bad person?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Just to be clear, we're talking about the eye slicing, or something else?
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Yes. That's That Scene.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.You turned it off? It's 15 minutes long and the scene is near the end.
Edit: Misremembered.

It's right at the beginning... It's the opening scene.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Well, once you're over the intro scene, it's actually not that bad. Sure, it's surreal as all hell, but a man dragging two priests and a piano by rope or ants crawling out of the holes in said guy's palms, ain't all that as far as mindbreaking freakout-fuel goes, although I guess the ant part is actually fairly freaky.
Liveblog | DeadblogI find the scene where Pierre Batchuef grabs Simone Mareull's breasts and has.... that look on his face actually scarier than the eye one.
I can't stop listening to thisI also saw it completely cold, with no idea about what was coming, for a writing class.
I have no idea what happened in the rest of it, because I almost passed out. I have absolutely no tolerance for that sort of thing.
The owner of this account is temporarily unavailable. Please leave your number and call again later.Oh man, I had to watch that for my FIST 210 Silent Film class. It was weird , and not like FLCL weird or Adventure Time Weird. No, it was like if the director of suicidemouse.avi decided to do a live action romantic comedy. The first 5 minutes scared the sh** out of me and the rest of the movie was pretty much a pure acid trip.
You can actually watch it on youtube now:
I suppose the Titties part has been censored or removed
I'm making a Youtube Poop out of it, so today I've seen the eye scene like twelve times.

I can't stop listening to thisI saw it a while ago, I'm surprised the scene where the protagonist (?) carrying a piano with a rotten donkey, the Ten Commadements, two priests and some balls are not as referenced as That Scene.
One of the priests there is Dalí.
I can't stop listening to thisYes, and the man doing you know what at That Scene is Buñuel, a bit of a way of saying he's gonna rape you throw your eyesocket.
Is an unique experience you remember during all your life.
So has anyone seen it? What were your first reactions?
I don't know if this one is the rigth subforum
I can't stop listening to this
