I'm still more feeling like Mama 'Lore broke this woman and then sent this mess over to her daughter.
If Tilly's a robot, Jeph is being deliberately misleading, as she uses round speech bubbles instead of square.
Maybe this chapter is simply a Very Special Episode about harassement and the different forms it can take?
Regardless, I'm liking Tilly less and less as the strips go on, wich I guess is kind of the intended effect.
Girl needs to get a new job.
Given that Tilly's behaviour has been played for laughs in other characters I'm guessing she was intended to be endearing.
{nods} Missteps happen. You never know when you'll be Daniel Tosh and tossing out a rape joke and learning that a lot of people aren't finding it funny.
My take on Tilly is that her main trait is doing everything 110%, which by itself is not necessarily a bad thing. It's just that it's currently being pointed toward sticking her nose in Hannelore's business, which is why she comes off as annoying.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...new strip Well, if this really is her first time doing this, it explains (if not entirely excuses) her over-enthusiasm. I'm going with the previously-mentioned theory that she ends up helping at Coffee Of Doom with the books or something.
Eventually Coffee of Doom will be run by Dora and staffed entirely by people sent by Mrs. Ellicott-Chatham for unrelated reasons
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableAdd that this isn't just her first assignment but that it's her first assignment working for the closest thing this universe has to Lex Luthor.
Trump delenda estWhere being "fired" might involve a cannon or an incinerator.
To use a classic QC line, failure could result in Tilly getting fired. Out of a cannon. Into a volcano.
Turkey comic, Huh? Didn't know Jeph moved to Canada.
Yeah, good for him. He does have a point about our infected snoods.
He's getting in before they have to build a big beautiful wall to keep out the refugees.
Trump delenda estWasn't Canadian thanksgiving last month?
Indeed it was. October 9th. But Jeph is originally from the U.S. so maybe he celebrates both Canadian and U.S. thanksgiving?
After all, the only thing better than one turkey dinner is two turkey dinners.
It's a common pattern among immigrants, I have found. My family celebrates Mother's/Father's day twice in one year, for example.

If I didn't care about my family and could afford it, I also would have fled this sinking ship a while ago.
Canadian thanksgiving was in October, true. But it's not a huge deal here, simply because American thanksgiving is so prevalent. Business slows down here because of an American holiday. I don't think it's weird that he would stick to the same schedule, plus he's conditioned his readers to expect turkey comics on American thanksgiving. He would get more hassle for changing it to Canadian thanksgiving

Isn't it something like 90% of Canadians live within day trip distance of the border?
Fresh-eyed movie blogDepending on who you ask, it's between 75% to 90% who live within 100 miles of the US border, simply because of climate and geography
He could do it both. But I think it's a his family is American, and as far as I know he doesn't have a 9-5 and thus sets his own hours so why wouldn't he take American Thanksgiving off. I know some families who had American parents in high school did both (and played hooky but they also did that at say first snowfall so you know).

I have no idea who you are, but I think I legitimately hate you now
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI find the slopover with the edges of the speech bubble far more annoying than the content of the text.
I don't think there's any evidence in the comic that would suggest that all or even most weirdos are robots.
