she her hers hOI!!! i'm tempeYou know, this puts her initial mistrust of Clinton in a much better light.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Nnnnnno it doesn't. Clinton clearly didn't want to be there. That's the opposite of the situation she just described.
Yes, it's a very different situation, but it does give an additional reason for Brun to be overly defensive, especially against non-regulars sitting at the bar by her who are refusing to engage in normal behavior.
It probably wasn't at the top of Brun's mind, but suspicious people could start wondering if that person is trying to play at being a wolf in sheep's clothing. (And given the number of drunk people Brun associated with daily at that job, and all the abusive behavior and stupidity that alcohol produces, being at least somewhat suspicious of people in the bar probably just counts as good judgement on the part of many bartenders, especially women bartenders.)

H.B. WardShe didn't say she killed him, just that he was dead.
Trump delenda estI mean, that could be a legit career path, with the right connections.
(Mrs Reed should be able to hook them up :P)
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself""Sitting on cakes for internet weirdos" Is that a reference to an actual specific thing?
Trump delenda estEven if it's not currently a thing, if you smush it, they will... nevermind.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterCrush fetish I guess.
I thought it was a roundabout rule 34 punchline
There was a video that went kinda memetic a few years ago, when I was still in high school. I want to say its name because it's self-descriptive and kinda hilarious just on its own, but in the interest of not getting thumped I will omit this information.
It featured an attractive woman doing this tease, then getting up on a table and sitting on a cake before farting on it. It made the rounds because seriously, what the fuck is that video and who would do something like that?
I'm pretty sure the worst it gets nudity-wise is a naked ass, but it's still pretty NSFW and fetish-related. I feel like Jeph might have mentioned it before this comic, it seems like the sort of thing he'd find really funny even back when it was making the rounds.
I am bothered by Jeremy's casual (and apparently vindicated) belief that becoming humanoid would make him more attractive to another robot.
Why would you build a manufacturing AI with an anthropocentric body self-image?
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeable"Hey 23 year old Jeph, in 13 years you'll be writing writing about robots fuckin'. Congrats."
If this isn't an accurate description of the human condition and/or growing up, I don't know what is.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"No, I get that. It's just that a totally non-anthropomorphic robot who is attracted to another robot would seem like the last person to have that thought process. Or that you would want to.
If it were a human getting extensive physical surgery to win over someone they were romantically interested in, it'd look emotionally unhealthy.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableIts not purely for that, and the changes are positive in themselves.
Wasn't part of the point of May's second trip to the shop to get a face that matched the rest of her chassis?
Fresh-eyed movie blogYes? The "its cultural" is about one and half hundred strips back.

Oh. It did seem like a convenient change of scene.

I think they have a screening process of sorts, but it's generally motivation speakers, or discussions of human advancement.
There was a lady on there a while back who had developed a fungal/spore suit that you could be buried in to ensure natural decomposition. So I mean, the ideas can be pretty out there.
