In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

I listened to it a lot when a co-worker first mentioned The Rake to me. As one who lives in the country, and constantly has white things wandering in the fields at night, it bothered me quite a bit.

Oh yes, disturbing to the liver mostly. There's no way you don't get a hangover on the next day.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisIt depends on your water usage.
You so didn't get it. Search that on Youtube. David Cummings' a great narrator.
Oh what the hell, I put it here.
Started playing Civilization: Beyond Earth for the first time today, and continued doing so for the next 12 hours or so. Which still wouldn't be too bad, if I hadn't lost in the end.
Oooo, a new CT 4 DN

New Waifu obtained!
Congrats!
I put up another chapter in my liveblog where I tear into this hilariously awful kids' book.
Here's a preview of what's inside the liveblog:
And yet, with all their planning, they made some major braindead mistakes that will prove to be their undoing. For one, the stone slate that covers up their tunnel is so freaking obvious that the dumbest 12-year-olds on the face of the planet discovered it easily. Even though they went to the effort to put up a fake wall in the tunnel, they buried the box before, not after the fake wall. So what good was the fake wall? And finally, they put the information on where to find the combination for the combination lock (couldn't they have memorized it, or written in somewhere they could find it that others wouldn't, like their own house for instance?) on the very box it unlocks.
And that's just my writing. The excerpts from the book are just incredible. It has awful dialog, awful writing, and a lot of fumbling over the Idiot Ball. I even hired an illustrator to point out its absurdities through drawings. Go check it out if you're in the mood to laugh. I really wish I knew how to advertise this better.
I made a subreddit recently, and just now decided to actually put some effort into it.
It's here, for the record.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."Everyooooneeee!
How are you?
I'm doing well. I've been away for a LONG time but I've been half-distracted, half-working. I just remember how much I used to frequent this place before I got completely, utterly sucked in my Tumblr and all.
I managed to quit my seasonal culinary job and find a different one as a substitute teacher. It's somewhat hard but the pay is good and I can't complain, because I'm working in the field I studied in college.
For now I am off for the Thanksgiving break, and finally getting a paycheck from the charter schools.
I'm also finally replaying Final Fantasy Tactics [I'm almost to endgame but I want to beat the optional dungeons/maps of Midlight's Deep for those sweet equips.]
I'm also getting back into Hetalia after a resurfacing of Himaruya again. >w<
Life's treated me decent, really.
I finished a first draft of my fanfic for Good Omens, and after a six month hiatus, I'm going back into my Hetalia fanfic about Germany and Japan meeting each other in the Cold War era.
What a time to be alive, tropers. (hugs for everyone old and new) I missed you all and I'm glad I'm kicking my Tumblr habits to see you again.
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughI don't know you - wait, yes I do! Wow, the Hungary avatar threw me off. Long time no see.
Hey Parable. Long time indeed.
I changed my avatar because I'm not nearly as into Night Vale as I used to be. Actually... I've sort of lost my passion toward it. I feel as if the creators aren't handling the episodes following the big two-year show very well at all.
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughI've finished Super Mario 3D World, now onto the bonus worlds!
Also, I have a pain in the toes of my feet. I shouldn't walk too much without some rest.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Oooh. I heard that there are wonderful games for the 3DS. I'm glad that Mario delivers too. <3
I really want to get my hands on a 3DS and Fire Emblem: Awakening, along with the 3D versions of the Zelda games.
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughHey, its Mi-mi! Hi mum! Is been so long!
Hi, guy! (hug) I hope you've been a good boy.
I'm sure you have though. ~ ♫
How are things on your end?
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughI found 12 words that end in -gress. Wonder if I can make a game based on these words.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Digress.
Regress.
Tigress.
Uh, I give up. Guess I lost?
Meh. Doing some work, drinking a soda. Anybody see Knowlessman around here?
Just woke up.
Anyone ever listened to Chilling Tales for Dark Nights on Youtube? It's a bit late time of a day for that, but I don't need sleep now anyway.
